Fruitier than Alpha King, with less bitterness and some malt underneath.

Golden body topped by a medium white head. Pleasant sweet hoppy aroma and flavor. Seems like it’d make a great session beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2003 The commercial description is accurate. This is a very nice, light, Summer brew. FFFs is the best thing to happen to Indiana since the Munsters! Wow, what a terrible pun.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A very good pale ale. Fruity, hop aroma. Smooth and easy to drink, with a pleasant, floral taste. Crisp and clean with a refreshing finish. An excellent warm weather beer.

Dark golden color with a moderate off white head. A light APA by modern standards. Light sweet pale malt flavors with some undertones of light fruit. Mild citric hops bite and flavor. From a time when APA's were kinder and gentler.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Strong, enjoyable and slightly fruity aroma. Just slightly cloudy but looks just like the picture. Balanced hops on the tongue with a stronger finish. Makes me wish for pizza/burger/wings to wash down. Good example of the style, definately not a UK pale. A little sweetness that is somewhat addicting, seems to taste better with each sip.

At first smell, I would link this with Bells Two Hearted Ale. Very citrus-like nose. Kind of a light tan color. Yup, a little like Two Hearted. It's a little on the fruity side for me. Almost... lime? Can't be right, but that's the only name I can think of for it. Maybe it's just APAs that I don't like. It's okay, just not terrific for my tastes.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice clear golden color with a wisp of haze from the last few drops in the bottle. Flowery nose with hints of citrus and pine with a touch of sweetness. Really a hops based brew (and quite a tasty one at that) but lacking a bit in malt depth, especially at lower temperatures. As it warms, a bit more sweetness comes out helping to round things out. Light bodied with mild carbonation. Very refreshing and very good. It can easily hold its own against any American-style pale ale.

Its alpha king, toned down about 2 nothces-same style bitter hops, very similar finish-just a little more pale in appearance. check it out!

Golden color with a white & frothy head... but the tight bubbles seem to dissipate quickly. Malty smell... crisp and dry with a fairly large malt presence. Some bittering hops evident, but not enough to complement the big malt flavor. I’d also like to see more aroma hops. It states, ’Robust floral hop aroma...’ on the bottle; I wouldn’t go that far. It may be heavily hopped, but the malt selfishly obscures them. Overall, not too shabby... and it seems very well made. Where was this stuff when I was in college, years ago, a mere hour or so away!
