This is one of the best beers Iíve ever had on tap. Unfortunately, they stopped producing it for kegs, only bottles for now. Crisp hops up front, light to medium mouthfeel, nice malt balance, and a citrusy finish. A nice session ale that needs to be brought back on tap. The bottled version is a shadow of the real strength of this nice pale ale.

darn fine. even the wife liked it and she's picky. Nicely hopped, medium body, very dry finish, nearly perfect pale ale. i'm going back out for more of this. Good work, Floyds!

A less hoppy version of Alpha king. Very enjoyable beer. This one is very refreshing on a warm day.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lightly hopped and malted. Itís very clean and refreshing making it a highly drinkable beer on an extremely hot day. Not bad by any means, but a little too light for me Ė makes me wish I reached for the King Alpha PA.

Nice color, medium head. Not very bitter, almost fruity taste. No aftertaste either

Beautiful dark golden color. Good carbonation. Huge hops up front mellowing to a very pleasing malt waaaay in back. A sprightly brew to say the least. A beer to be savored.

riverside recently dropped all singles to state minimum (thanks john!), which affords me the opportunity to try different beers without committing to a six pack. this also allows me the chance to rate more beer.
so... without any further ado - my rating...
i have yet to have a three floyds that i don't like - while not as outstanding as the alpha king, the x-tra pale ale definitely has its place (outdoors summertime).
very crisp and hoppy on the tongue, with hints of a bitter, citrus aftertaste. the malt can be found mostly in the nose. overall, a very pleasant beer!

Pretty good beer.Light orange color with a slight fruity aroma.Has a very light taste and is easily drinkable. Had nice lace on the glass and is lightly carbonated. This is the little brother to Alpha King.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Slightly citrusy, quite hoppy and and very easy to drink, if on the light side - nonetheless a far better beer than the majority.
