douglas88 (477), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA May 15, 2008 Bottle from Eithcubes. Pours a fairly clear orange with a thin head. The aroma is mostly a rich hops and citrus, also some grains. The taste is dominated by a citrusy hops, quite fresh and full, also full of wheat dipped in honey. Pretty nice. Very clean and easygoing. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. jrob_21 (756), Atlanta, Georgia, USA May 14, 2008 This one came in from Eithcubes. The lesson to be learned from this beer is that amarillo hops = bubblegum flavors/aromas. Getting more of an IPA than a wheat experience but I am not complaining. Clear golden orange color. Wheat style comes through faintly on the finish. A little banana and grain flavors there. Straight amarillo is a little one dimensional. A good dimension but still one dimension. daforrds (162), richmond, Indiana, USA May 9, 2008 Not being a wheat fan, i will say that after the pour, i was excited to taste this. Very nice citrusy hop aroma. Golden in my glass with no remnents of a head. Immeadiate soft citrus mouthful with underlying hoppiness down the throat. Very nice hot weather beer, and a refreshing take on a wheat. luckymortal (11), USA May 6, 2008 My favorite wheat ale, to date, blows the blue moon right outten yer arse. Unfortunately, I’m not sure it has wide appeal... It’s been a miss whenever I’ve tried to introduce it to non beer people. Ebel’s makes a better outreach beer IMO. That’s fine, I take Gumball to the BBQ now and there’s more for me!
I gave this beer a 5 for appearance, it looks beautiful too. xcrunner_1 (5), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA does not count May 5, 2008 Smell of hops, musky and sweet. Good clear golden pour and a slight head. Bitter hop profile in the beer with a citrus/sap finish. Nice to sit and drink to quench the thirst on a hot summer day.
