COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. (Bottle 65 cl) Slightly hazy golden with a small, creamy, white head. Fresh aroma of citrusy hops. Medium-bodied with some sweetish malt, but otherwise completely dominated by fresh aroma hops. Quite lovely, but in style far from your typical American Wheat - thankfully! 170406

Pour is fairly clear orangey golden color with a big bubbled long lasting skin of a white head...smell is citrus, pine, and rather sweet all at the same time...taste is strongly hoppy up front with some nice wheat and sweet flavors before the slightly bitter finish...this is damn good and very bizarre...far from what I expected...like an APAweizen of sorts...

(RATING 700!)this wheat beer had a clear body with a small white head that disapeared quickly.the aroma was a mix of straw, whaet, and pine like hops.the flavor was a nice mix of ice tea, hay, flowers, and pine.it had a nice mouthfeel and the palate was on the full side.

Yeast, hay. wheat, and slightly piney herbal hops in the nose. Bright brassy clear body with a thin white head. Flavor is herbaly bitter and bright with touches of zesty citrus and some flowers. Finishes with a little doughy yeast.

A hazy orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with a light touch of wheat, while the wheat has a stronger presence in the flavor on a sweet malty back ground, and still with a distinct hoppyness. OK, but nothing spectacular - I’m not that fond of the strong hoppyness combined with the wheat.

Golden color, nearly no head, flat carbonation. Sweet floral nose. Stale hops taste accomplished by lavender - not my sausage! ;-)

From a 22oz. bomber bottle with the distinctive Three Floyds label with a map to the brewery on the lower right side of label, summer 2006 version. Made a good appearance, poured a cloudy golden hued orange with a foamy white that settled into a thin, bubbly lacing, moderate carbonation overall. Had a amarillo hops nose, citric grapefruity and orangey with just a light wheat maltiness at the edges. A crisp, smooth medium bodied mouth feel, very good drinkability. Big hop taste upfront, grapefruity, zesty and a delicious orangey, sharp, but rolling bitterness on the tongue, a crisp sweet wheat malty backbone with the distinctive Three Floyds yeastiness and a crisp and bitter citric fruity and malty finish. The perversion of the pale wheat ale that you expect from Three Floyds, original, tasty and quite quaffable.

I had this once at a beer taste and was not impressed. It was near room temp. Bought yesterday after reading all the hype from some of you. Hesitant to pay $5.50 for a bomber of 5% wheat beer. Poured avg gold color no head, Where TF is the wheat? Not even present. What I got was more akin to a nice resiny IPA but could not detect the claimed lemon finish. Wish this was cheaper and in 6’ers.

Light nose, clear orange color, no head. Orange and apricot tastes, hoppy end. Medium body, creamy feel. Not too thrilled about this one.
