An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Hazy golden color with a large white head. The aroma was full of citrus...particularly grapefruit, with a sweet character in the background...bubblegum, ashes, and toasted wheat. The flavor was wonderfully balanced between the aggressive citrus hop tones and the sweeter wheat tones. Lively, crisp feel with a semi-dry finish. Wonderful American Wheat! Thanks BBB63.

Lightly hazy pale yellow color with a large white head. Strong grapefruit hops and bubblegum aroma. Nice crisp grapefruit hops, lemon, malt and bubblegum flavors. A great summer session beer!

The beer came is a 22 oz. brown bomber with no freshness date. The body of the pour was hazy pale yellow with a tall creamy head. The aroma was very flowery hops with a touch of citrus. The taste was refreshingly hoppy and citric with a sweet fruity malt undertone. The mouthfeel was slick and soft with a perfect carbonation. Aftertaste was a bit drying after each swallow, causing you to rush to the next sip. A perfect summer session brew that melds the best aspects of a wheat beer and an IPA.

Golden yellow clear beer under a thick white head that gives off a bready aroma with just a touch of hops. Light malt flavor with just enough hop bitterness towards the end to balance out some of the sweetness. This misses a lot of the characteristics of a Wheat beer, but it would do well as a good Pale Ale.

Pours a hazy yellow/orange. Strong aromas of grapefruit, oranges and pine. Very light body, with lots of grapefruit and orange flavors. Smooth finish, with some hop bitterness in the end.

UPDATED: MAR 3, 2006 Super hoppy American wheat. Fizzy with little head. Grapefruit taste. High price and low alcohol content. Poor wheat character, but tastes okay. Not bad, but nothing special; given the inflated price. Looks pretty though.

Light orange gold color. Medium sized white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet and orange. A medium bodied wheat beer. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hints of orange and citrus, with slightly bitter hops. Nicely balanced. Crisp clean flavors. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2004 Dark straw colored brew. Great nose with a little hoppiness and a little lemon citrus. Light/medium body with a slight herbal hoppiness at the front. Finishes tart and clean. Really enjoyable and different wheat.Forgot to thank jcalabre and hopsrus for this one!

22 oz bottle. Lightly hazy medium amber, medium-to-large stable head. Nose big on sour lemon, hops and honey..quite powerful if fairly simple. On the tongue, hoppy and slightly citrusy at the front, sweet honey in the middle and a nice toasty caramel-bready malt backbone present near the relatively dry finish. Certainly top-notch for this bastardized style, refreshing and very clean, something I’d probably drink regularly if I had access...but comes off closer to a pale ale than a wheat to my tastebuds.
