COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear orange-amber color with a nice two finger head of pure white foam. The foam fades slowly over time to leave a fantastic level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the beer is heaviest of a wheaty smell mixed with a rather strong grapefruit and lemon smell. Along with these aromas are some light grassy aromas and a bit of grain as well. Taste- The taste begins very light and crisp with some wheat flavors mixed with a cracker base flavor as well as some tastes of a herbal hop upfront, which are rather light. As the taste advances a bit of a lemon and grapefruit hop flavor start developing on the tongue with them gaining strength as the taste advances further. In the end, the lighter wheat and cracker tastes grow just a bit stronger and join the hop and a little bit of grain to leave a rather crisp flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is quite light with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the mild flavors of the brew the thinner body creates a rather crisp brew overall, matching well the drier and lighter flavors nicely. Overall – Definitely not really a flavor powerhouse here, but really instead, a quite crisp and refreshing tasting brew. It has just enough herbal and grassy hop to give it life, but not too much to keep it from being refreshing.

(On tap at Mikkeller Bar Stockholm, October 13 2014) Pours a clear pale orange with a moderate white head and lots of lace. Aroma of citrus peel hops and pale stone fruit, kinda skunky and lightly wheaty. On the palate, sweet citrus and apricot hops at first, some wheat malt character right from the start. Becomes drier and lightly bitter from the middle on. Pine needle, citrus rind, wheat in the dry and lightly skunky finish. Palate light to medium with sharp, prickly carb. As overtly malty a wheat PA as I’ve had but nice hop character too. There’s kind of a funky character to it though not in the sour way, but it’s really drinkable.

Draft at Three Floyds Brewpub. Pours a clear golden with a firm white head. Nose is very citrus driven lots of fruit. Taste is more wheat/bread based. Citrus coming through at the end. Great beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amazingly easy to drink, it is flavorful and crisp. With a muted wheat flavor and a balanced hop profile, this is very different from traditional expectations of a wheat beer. Unique and really well done. Tastes great both bottled and on draft.

From FFF, golden small white head. Big aroma, full of pink grapefruit. A bit sweet, slightly bitter, a lot of wheat in the finish. Seems pretty drinkable but not my speed.

Poured from a bottle. Hazy gold. Small white head. Typical wheat beer aroma with some citrus hops thrown in. Very smooth. Slightly hoppy. Best wheat beer I've tried. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Best wheat beer on the market. Great flavor poured out of the bottle. After trying it on tap, I was shocked that it could possibly taste even better. Search for a place who has this on tap, you won't be disappointed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours hazy light amber with a thick white head. Aromas of pear cider, citrus, some floral notes, slight hops (probably settled from a bit of aging lol). Taste is fruity forward, pear cider, slight citrus and some hops, slight spices aswell. Very smooth though. Not alot of hop bitterness and pretty low carbonation aswell. Suits it very well!
