An American Wheat Beer brewed with red wheat and boat loads of amarillo hops gives this summer brew a lemony finish. The slight haze in the bottle is from the bottle-conditioning, where yeast is added to the bottle for a secondary fermentation. Gumballhead is a Skingraft Comics hero. On tap at the Theater Square Marketplace. Aroma is of citrus and is very enticing. Minimal head, but a nice amber/orange color. Taste is very hoppy for a wheat ale and the combination of hops and wheat may be what gives it that citrus taste and aroma. Light on the palate. Overall an amazing beer with an unexpected, but very welcome taste.

Poured from a bottle....pale, white head...one of those beers that doesnít have to stop to change color. Fruity without the hops. Crisp, clean and easy to drink, a great summer beer. Too bad itís a never ending winter. Iíd probably love this when Iím out fishing on a nice summer day, but Iím old and my bones hurt. Three Floyds is hard come by around here, unless itís Robert the Bruce. Iíll try it again later....I hope.

Bottle pours hazy old gold with a thin lace. Hoppy, grainy nose, lemony, bitter finish. Overall, a nicely balanced session beer with lots of flavor.

12oz bottle from Old Town in Louisville. Poured into a shaker pint. Nice big soapy head, with a hazy goldenrod color. Big lemon, lime and yuzu nose with a hint of spice present, maybe coriander? IPA crispness on the palate with wheat-like bubblegum undertones. Well-balanced between wheat beer and IPA. Superb dry finish with nice tartness.

Twelve ounce bottle from my nephew (thanks, Andy!), tasted on December 24, 2014, Cloudy amber/yellow hue, strong citrus nose with some spice, tangy citrus/spice flavor with some wheat character. Quite tasty.
