nefarious (52), grand blanc, Michigan, USA Jun 4, 2008 12oz. bottle from bdigi66....thanks Robert! golden/slight orange pour and a wonderful aroma of citrus and grapefruits....almost an IPA aroma! Extremely light beer! Slight citrus and hops flavor much better than any wheat beer out there! Wonderful session beer. This being my first experience with FFF’s and I am so excited to try the rest of the lineup!!!!!!!
bellmyer (12), EAST MOLINE, Illinois, USA Oct 4, 2008 Bottle from the brewery. Pours a dull clear orange with receding head. Aroma is very sweet hops and malts. Flavor is also very sweet, not a whole lot there. Lacing is not present. Not my favorite FFF but still a drinkable brew, better if it was a hot summer day. Better than a 2.9 puggy211 (333), cordova, Tennessee, USA Oct 4, 2008 This is a very light, clear, clean straw color with golden hues. The carbonation helps to maintain the head for some time. It has a great floral hop aroma similar to other FFF beers. There is a perfumy floral taste that pervails but doesn’t dominate. Also some citrus hops are present and a bit of sweetness. This is a great tasting beer and tastes more like an IPA than a wheat, but I like it just the same. wrburgess (2), CHICAGO, Illinois, USA does not count Sep 26, 2008 Normally I’m not a fan of grapefruit, but the zinger on the tail end of the taste is a nice change of pace. gax33 (11), Minooka, Illinois, USA Sep 26, 2008 Not what you’d expect in a wheat beer. I’m not a big fan of any pine-taste in my beer and this one had a subtle pine flavor. Also, more carbonation than I’d prefer. Some sweetness mixed with some bitterness. Overall, it’s a slightly above average experience but with so many people raving about Gumballhead - I was disappointed. taalhiker (111), Dayton, Ohio, USA Sep 23, 2008 From bottle. Poured a lightly cloudy golden-yellow. Big start to this ale but finishes thinner than expected considering the maker. Lighter hoppiness than other FFF but a good end-of-summer beer.
