Brewed with our friends at Half Acre, Anicca IPA is single hopped snake juice showcasing the Mosaic hop, a plant throwing off a cornucopia of fruit flavors. Bitter sweet and full of force, this IPA bends your brain into a tropical storm of writhing glory.

Admin Note: Please be aware that Half Acre also has a version of this beer brewed at their own brewery. All Three Floyds ratings go here.

Hmm...I’m not as enthralled with this as others for some reason. Perhaps what I ate/drank before? Can’t be "old", I live in Chicago. Aroma is mild pineapple. Taste is orange rind, a little tropical fruit, lemon sourness and some mild caramel sweetness. The bitter rind aftertaste stays around a long time. Not bad, but not a high-90 beer for me. Cool to try a FFF/Half Acre collaboration though.

Bottle thanks to mikem409. Hazy copper pour with a small foamy head that fades to a ring. Aroma is big dank hops, big pineapple, candied oranges, and sugary, gummy fruit slices. Tastes only slightly sweet which then changes to a moderate bitterness in the finish. Lots of pineapple and citrus. Some toffee and caramel. Very nice red IPA.

Pours hazy pale amber with thin white head. Aroma is dank citrus with some malt presence. Taste is on the bitter side but balances well with malt and alcohol. Very good collaboration!

Draft. It is a Mosaic bomb, just like biting into a fruit when you drink it, some sweetness to help the juicy flavor along and a bit fuller bodied, but the dry bitterness hammers you at the end.

Tap. Pours copper, off-white head, some retention/lace. Aroma of citrus/tropical/grassy hop, light cracker/caramel. Taste is lightly bitter, juicy, lightly sweet, very grassy/tropical. Palate is average carbonation, slick, light bitter finish. A great beer.

Pours copper with a thick khaki head. Light floral hop nose. Incredibly smooth, thinner body, crisp, and clean. Not their most flavorful but still very enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
