22 oz. bottle. Pours a rich amber color with a medium white head, lacing. Aroma is dank with lots of pine and spruce, as well as orange, mango, melon, and pineapple. Flavor is quite hoppy, lots of flavorful orange, mango and melon hops, as well as citrus rind. Lots of grapefruit comes out. Medium bodied, finishes hoppy and bitter.

Had it out of a bomber from the brewery. Pours a clear copper hue and a thick head with a wonderful bouquet of hop citrus and apricot aromas. Tastes silky smooth with hops and mango apricot flavors.

Aroma seems fairly hop forward with a lot of tropical fruit, citrus and a background note of pine resin. The hop is more herbal than straight fruity, but the mango and peach do show up with the typical citrus and pine. Medium low caramel malt notes compliment the hop rather well. Pours a fairly clear copper color with a moderately sized white head that shows pretty nice retention and moderate lacing. Faint legs. Flavor is similar to the aroma but is not as hop forward. Initial light graininess and cracker notes with some light caramel. The hops are less prevalent, or at least take on a much less fruity character. Some dank, earthy spice notes with some grapefruit and other citrus. Light alcohol note in the finish. Finishes fairly dry with some lingering bitterness and hop resin. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied, with a hint of wateriness. Medium carbonation, low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall a nice example of mosaic hops. It's really interesting how different the hop character is in the aroma compared to the flavor. The mouthfeel seems a little thin to me and the alcohol a touch hot, but otherwise very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from the brewpub carryout down yonder in Munster. Pours a medium-deep orange-amber, off-white head but not much retention. Nose is dank, loaded with mango, peach, passion fruit, some pine. Mouth is medium bodied, with a palate that matches the nose (lots of tropical fruit), and hoppy bitterness throughout. Relatively dry as well, finishes a tad watery. Really enjoyed this showcase of the Mosaic hops.

Hoppy citrius aroma, grapefruit, pineapple and orange. Nice balance of hoppiness, maltiness, and sweetness. Another delicious ipa from 3 floyds.

22 oz bottle from the brewery (Munster, IN). Stopped by to pick up a couple new rates before swinging by the homestead. Pours a deep copper hue, good mellow haze with deeper sunset and amber glow throughout. Striking color, a touch dulled with a cakey offwhite head. Stays as a firm layer, laces ok. Aromas are richly fruit, mosaic hop offers some good life. Tropical fruit, melon, and citrus. Oranges and gumball, gentle sweetness grows. Decent florals, a touch resiny. Grapefruit, a good juicy quality as it settles. Initial is lighter end of medium bodied, a gentle carbonation meets a rich fruity medium to firm bitter front end. Some tropical fruit, oranges and melon, grapefruit and tropical elements. Not as sweet as I remember the Half Acre version. This one seems to preach a stronger hop melange, lots of fruit with melon, tropical fruit, oranges and grapefruit. Medium to firm bitterness, a bit stronger into the backend. Touches of bready malt, biscuit is subtle. Floral and grassy bitterness, some good fruit elements. Tropical, some grapefruit, melon and gentle mango. Decent to firm dryness. Some gentle spiciness, medium to firm bitterness. A richer fruit melange but not as sweet as the Half Acre version. Pretty nice beer, nose is rich but not overpowering. Great flavors, good firm bitterness without being overpowering. A touch sweeter, but richer fruit melange and complex. Tasty. A bit better than the HA version.

Pours a dark orange with a finger length head that goes away pretty quickly and leaves a blanket of lacing. Lots of carbonation coming off the glass. Smells of tons of mango, tropical fruit, stone fruit, pine, and carmel. Tastes pretty much like it smells. Starts of with lots of mango and tropical fruits. Then the middle brings a malty doughy quality that melds with the hop flavors and somewhat balances it. The finish is the best part of this beer in my opinion. Just a cornucopia of fruit flavors. You could argue six or seven different fruits. Definitely more mango and tropical fruits, but also stone fruit and pine resin. Tastes like a bitter, yet sweet fruit salad. There is a sweetness that builds along with the hop intensity. High medium body with an oily and creamy mouthfeel that is perfect for this beer. This is the best showcase of the mosaic hop I’ve had yet. Really complex, juicy fruit flavors. A very well-done IPA that lived up to my high expectations given the two breweries and their knowledge of hops.
