Bomber picked up at Dark Lord Day 2012. Pours a complete opaque colour. Head is tan, lots of drippy spots of lace. Nose is sweet malt, and what reminds me of a Allan’s chocolate bunnies. Tastes quite chocolate malt, a little bit salty. Really different from the oyster stouts i’ve had. Delicious.

22 oz. bottle served in a Hofbrauhaus Munchen tulip . A: Pours a dark black color with dark brown edges. A nice khaki head forms on the pour. It recedes quickly to a thick collar that leaves some splotchy sheets of lace left down the glass. S: Some solid chocolaty aspects to it up front with some lightly toasted malts. There is a little brine in there which I can attribute to the saltiness of the oyster shells. T: A large briny flavor sticks throughout each sip. There is some chocolate, dark fruits and lightly toasted grain flavors creating the body of the beer. M: Medium to thin bodied with a medium carbonation level and s light salty finish. O: A good take on the style, but I wish I got more roasted malt flavors and some sweet chocolate notes to compliment the salty flavors from the oyster shells. An imperial version might be the key here to grab more flavors out of the different elements and create more body as it was a tad thin for me. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-06-2012

A - Pours a dark brown-black color with a finger of frothy khaki-chocolate colored head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of roasted chocolate malts, coffee, oysters, a bit of dark fruit, and some molasses. T - Starts off with some roasted chocolate malts with some earthy minerals and some dark fruit. Through the middle, some coffee comes through with some more oyster flavor and some molasses. The finish is a mix of roasted chocolate malts, dark fruit, mineral oyster flavor, coffee, and a touch of lactose sweetness. M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sweet and mineraly finish. D - Very drinkable. Nice oyster stout with good overall balance and complexity without getting too big.

Thanks to the kind soul that shared this at a recent Tampa Crew Tasting. Pours a medium brown with an off-tan head. Nose is earth, some dry cocoa, and some roasted malts. Flavor follows. Light to medium in body and earthy all over.

Bottle shared by JCB. Cheers, Jason. Very dark brown pour with a silky lighter brown head. Nose is nutty, roasty, fruity. Taste adds a bit of salty and earthy sweetness. Silky palate. Unique. Just a stunner all around.

This was a nice stout. Aroma is roast and smoky with a touch of mineral qualities to it. Flavor is the same with a nice touch of smoke and roast with a light saltiness and cocoa. Good stuff.

What a nice and dry stout this one was. Lots of cocoa and yeast in the nose here. The taste is a tad smoky with more cocoa, dry leaves and earthy. Finishes like a rich porter and enjoyably so.

What an awesome label! Bottle thanks to Jeremy I believe. Pours a cloudy black color with a large light brown head. A sweet nose of milky chocolate and roast. A very smooth sweet Brown Ale-like mellow stout with lactose, at times aggressive roast, caramel. Very good.

Black with light tan head. No aroma. Taste is malty with a bit of roast. Little roast, good body. Nothing to get excited about here.

The taste is really nice, and there is definitely a mineral saltiness at the back of the palate that really distinguishes this as an oyster stout. Very rich front palate too, nice roasty malty stout flavors, some coffee and cream flavors too. A really flavorful beer that’s salty and a little sweet, very nice. super tasty oyster stout.
