Sample from a bottle at Natifest. Dark, near black color. Light brown head. Nice roasty flavor, but light body. Dry finish. Really unique, sort of savory bitter taste. Very good.

Bottle. Pours with a deep brown hued body with a small tan head. Not quite black nor opaque. Aromas show some light esters, leathery, dusty, chocolate, bready, light roast with low salinity. Flavors show some coconut, medium esters, bready, rounded malt character, toasty, chocolate, mineral and tobacco. Lightly tea like. Medium carbonation with a medium body.

Pours almost black in color with a finger of tan head. Smells rather salty. Nice roasted malt, a hint of chocolate, and dark fruit. The flavor has just a hint of bitterness. There’s really nice roastiness, good chocolate notes, light saltiness, and a hint of graham cracker.

2012-07-08. Black body with a nice modest tan head. Lightly roast aroma, very slight "salty" tang to it. 7+ Flavour is similar, modest roast throughout has some nuance to it, sweet base malt peeks out then finishes dry and modestly roasty in the finish. 7+ Medium bodied palate suits it. Pretty solid, very drinkable. Simple but full flavoured. Bottle shared by liamt07

Bottle… Pours black with a small, creamy, khaki head. Decent retention. The aroma is an elegant blend of confectionery and tree nuts - fudge, chocolate dipped almonds, cashews and pistachios. Full-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is chocolaty, nutty and moderately sweet. Finishes minerally, roasty and mildly bitter. Bottle generously shared by landhoney!

Sampled at an esbls tasting. Black with a tan head. A coffee aroma. Thatbis tasted, too. Chocolate is a second flavor. I taste no sea food and just a hint of salt. Hops come in very late with citrus bitterness.
