Bottle shared by Savnac: Poured a clearish black red with thin tan head. Aroma seemed mainly roasted malt. Taste was more roasted malts with salty seashell bitterness.

Black with thick lasting head and mild aroma of sweet roasted malt. Flavor is mild to moderate roasted malt with a hint of coffee. Light complexity. Finishes with a mild lingering bitterness. Not bad, not distinctive.

Pours dark unclear coffee in color with a smaller tan head. The aroma is light oyster brine on light roasted malts. The flavor of a roasted malt stout with light bitter hops at the end, quite smooth on a perfect body for the style.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 sharkweek (60) - Statesboro, Georgia, USA - JUN 27, 2012
Pours very black with a good two fingers of khaki head. Looks very nice. The aroma has some chocolate and a tinge of shellfish. The taste is dark chocolate and coffee. There is no overwhelming bitterness or sweetness. This beer works perfectly. The flavors are very nicely balanced and I recommend this to any stout lover.

Pours black with brown head. Nose is roasted malts coffee and chocolate. No oyster in the aroma. Flavor maybe lends some oyster but very little just adds some complexity to the roast and sweet malt and smoke. Dry finish. fully body. bitter finish.

Split a 22oz bottle in half. Poured a solid black color, with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, touch of sweet coffee notes, with a touch of light salt brine notes. Palate is pretty smooth, a touch of creaminess. Flavor is coffee, roasted malts, interesting.

Thick, black beer with a mid-sized head. Flavor and aroma are full of coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. I’m not picking up on the oyster flavors myself, but then I’ve never eaten an oyster so don’t know what I’m looking for. But the seafoody-aspect some raters are mentioning just isn’t there for me. This tastes like a fairly decent, middle of the road stout. Nothing wrong with that.

Bottle, thanks Jason. Black with a small tan head. Nice roasty, dark chocolate, light mineral and seashell. Similar flavor. Very well balanced and quite tasty. A nice surprise.

Bomber pours black with a thin tan head. Aroma has milk chocolate, molasses, and earthy roasted malts. Tastes a bit salty, with hops kicking in on the long dry finish. Medium body with an oily texture. Enjoyable, but I’m not quite sure what FFF and Half Acre wanted to accomplish with this. I’ve had much better from either brewery.
