Dark brown pour, tan head. Roasty and toast aroma, some light smoke, very light coffee. Flavor is roasty with a bit of smoke, no real note of the brine/oysters that Ive had in past oyster stouts. Still a very quaffable brew.

Pours almost black in color with a finger of tan head. Smells rather salty. Nice roasted malt, a hint of chocolate, and dark fruit. The flavor has just a hint of bitterness. There’s really nice roastiness, good chocolate notes, light saltiness, and a hint of graham cracker.

2012-07-08. Black body with a nice modest tan head. Lightly roast aroma, very slight "salty" tang to it. 7+ Flavour is similar, modest roast throughout has some nuance to it, sweet base malt peeks out then finishes dry and modestly roasty in the finish. 7+ Medium bodied palate suits it. Pretty solid, very drinkable. Simple but full flavoured. Bottle shared by liamt07
