22 oz. bottle served in a Hofbrauhaus Munchen tulip . A: Pours a dark black color with dark brown edges. A nice khaki head forms on the pour. It recedes quickly to a thick collar that leaves some splotchy sheets of lace left down the glass. S: Some solid chocolaty aspects to it up front with some lightly toasted malts. There is a little brine in there which I can attribute to the saltiness of the oyster shells. T: A large briny flavor sticks throughout each sip. There is some chocolate, dark fruits and lightly toasted grain flavors creating the body of the beer. M: Medium to thin bodied with a medium carbonation level and s light salty finish. O: A good take on the style, but I wish I got more roasted malt flavors and some sweet chocolate notes to compliment the salty flavors from the oyster shells. An imperial version might be the key here to grab more flavors out of the different elements and create more body as it was a tad thin for me. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 10-06-2012

Bottle shared. Pours near black with dark biege head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, fudge, toffee, cocoa and light coffee. Flavour is over moderate sweet and bitter. All of the aroma aspects come out in the palate with raisins, overripe red fruit and oyster saltiness on the side. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Fantastic for the low ABV.

Bomber courtesy of and shared with Kermis, thanks. Thin tan head. Clear black pour. Smooth chocolatey finish. Lovely

Pour out 22 oz bottle, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of roast, coffee, dark chocolate, some hints of slight salty roasty notes as well, eh. Taste is a mix of coffee, roast, chocolate, hints of earthy slight nutty notes, hints of dark fruit, finishing fairly bitter. Not bad, pretty balanced, but the flavors are fairly tame.

Bottle @ home, thanks to readbaron for sending this! Pours a black appearance with a dark brown head. The oyster presence is definitely noticeable in the nose with salty / earthy / mussel notes. Thereís also a fair amount of anise, light spice, and some roast. Flavor is a bit twangy, almost tart-like flavor. A bunch of black licorice in the mouth along with roast. Body is a bit thin. Finishes with earth, chocolate, and a bit of coffee. Pretty solid but Iím really not a huge fan of Oyster Stouts to be honest.

22 ounce bottle. Thanks Keith! Pours a very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and fruit. Taste is roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit, and soy. Pretty good considering.

Bottle shared at Proof. Blackish pour. Salty aroma. Tastes are sweet malt, coffee, brine, hint of smoke. Iíve liked most oyster stouts Iíve tried - must be something with salty vibe. Would like to try this again. 7.6

Bottle share at Proof. Dark black with a great creamy tan head that lasts pretty well. Smoky and toasty malt aroma. Smoky-malty-chocolate flavor. Not much of the hint of salty-brine I typically see in oyster stouts. Great creamy mouthfeel with nice aftertaste of silty chocolate. Creamy nitro-like carbonation and thick viscous body.

Pours a thick black from the bottle with nice tan brown head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of roasted malt, a hint of mineral in the middle, and some chocolate. Taste follows, more chocolate than mineral. Sweet and nice, but not crazy oyster.

Nice beer with solid roasty backbone and a nice mineral rich salty sweetness hidden in there. Really easy to drink and just full of tons of roasty flavor.
