COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer, created in honor of Henry Chinaski, was a collaboration between Three Floyds and Jonathan Cutler of Piece Brewery. Itís delicate, spicy, smoked character is derived from a portion of smoked and rye malts.Also brewed by Barnaby&Chris to piss Nick off ;)

Pours a clear amber/copper color with small white head. Aroma is full of smoked meat, spices and bread -just as the name suggests. Taste is sweet and malty with some bitterness in the finish. Body is medium with very light carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. This one was a lot of fun.

On tap at three floyds brewing. Sweet, smoky aroma. Almost smells of bacon. Taste is smooth, interesting malt profile. Mild bitterness backing, but mixes well with malty sweetness. Tastes like itís name. Good beer.

On tap at CBC 2012. Beer in the glass copper coloured, almost no head. Fine smokey-spicy aroma. Starts mild-malty, modest smokey, not too intense. Finish less smokey, fine malty-spicy. Quite drinkable. Really nice!

On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours a clearish amber with a small off-white head. Sweet with a light bitterness. Malty aromas of straw and smoked matls. Medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. No carbonation. Dry, smokey finish.

Aroma is rich, malty and bready, some dry ricey character. Hazy brown color with a creamy light tan head. Dry toasty rye flavor, light sweetness. Nice highly drinkable, little smoke character.

Growler shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike! The beer appears a golden amber hue with a quarter inch of white head that leaves some decent lacing upon the glass. The aroma is of smoke and smoked malt. I donít think I could single out ham, per se, but I could get a sense of smoked meat in the nose. The flavor is decent and follows the aroma. I didnít enjoy this brew nearly as much as my favorite authentic rauchbiers, but it was good nonetheless. The body was a tad thin for my liking. A fun beer, I would have it again. On tap at Mikkeller Bar, July 19th 2012 Amber body, small offwhite head. Aroma is smoky, mild bacon, sweet malt. Smoked taste with vanilla, rye, salt meat, caramel and yeast, leaving a smoky and bitter finish. Pretty good stuff!

Draft. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of smoke, bacon, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of smoke, bacon, caramel, and malt, leading to a dry and smokey finish.

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. This is a blurry glowing copper-golden one with a small sidesticking just off-white head. It smells like nosing on a smoked ham! Really smoky and beefy! Also some malt sweetness and to be honest, I donít get much more. Itís literally just like smelling on a good old smoked Norwegian ham. Itís average carbonated and it has a soft and light oily texture in the mouth. Oh yeah, lots of beefy tones in the flavor as well. Long lasting smoky finish and aftertaste indeed, and there is also a light sweet tone blended in here somewhere. A tasty smoked! 12.05.2012
