Tap at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours clear, rich gold with a fine, white foam head. Modest to big smoke aroma with honey-cured ham accents. Medium to strong sweet flavor with great honey ham character, light smoke, just lots of caramel, honey and baked ham. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Moderately sticky to finish with plenty more honey ham, caramel, and restrained smoke. Great honey ham, cured meat smoke beer.

Tap @ CBC. Light orange color with no head. The nose is strong ham hock and smoke, some earthy grain. The taste is smokey ham and honey, some delicate grain and watery noble hop. The body’s light, the finish dry. Overall, it’s a fine beer. I don’t love the style.
