Tulip at FFF. Poured a hazy yellow-amber with a towering foam head which left behind lovely Belgian lacing. Aroma was bright hops and bread dough. Taste exhibited the typical spiciness for the style, but with a stronger citrus hop bite. Seemed a little undercarbonated, but otherwise a very nice effort.

On tap at 3F. Poured a clear medium golden with 3/4" of medium-density white head. Dusty, banana-ey yeast hits the nose first.. drier caramel, white pepper, and cloves shortly after.. almost a saison-ey presence to it. White peppery spices were very heavy in the flavor department... the dusty Chouffe yeast was prominent too.. banana and sweet caramel deep down.. left a spicy, light-fruity finish. Bit too heavy on the spicage.. medium-bodied with moderate (ideal) carbonation.

Draft. Clear golden colour. Very very dry with citrusy hops. No Belgian character that I could find. Its a good dry IPA, but fails as a Belgian.

On tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with a short white head. Aromas of orange, and a little spice, some yeast, and lots of fruity pear notes. Flavor is fruity with some orange and apricot there yeast, and some spice. Crisp and clean on the palate. This was pretty tasty.

On tap at the brewpub. Opaque, sunny orange pour. Pungent sweetness of pinapple and garlic cloves in the aroma; lit up by banana, vanilla and pears with a lot of lively spark and delicate sugar. Flavor brings some dense spice and phenols, seeming a bit warmer than it should or than it is. Quite estery and fairly dry; leafy hop character and white cracker yeast tones fill in the body with enough bready density and bitterness to create balance. Some ginger and pepper come through on the back of the nose in the mid-palate. Medium bodied in the mouth; syrupy and sticky to a surprising degree, leaving a cooling sweetness of vanilla in a creamy finish. Bitten with a bit more clove and dry grass at the very end. Lots of potential in this one, but it seems to wrap up as something quite less exciting than the sum of its seemingly well-chosen parts might project itself to be.

On tap at brewpub. The hops give it a nice taste as compared to the typical Belgian. Nothing too crazy here- actually pretty close to style other than the aggressive hops.
