Pours a deep red with a good head and some lace. The aroma is cherry and apricot with some light sweetness. Overall this one has a very fruity nose. The flavor is cherry and other fruitiness with a light hop zing and some yeasty spiciness.

Sample at Brewpub. Chocolate in the finish but nowhere else. Raisin. Plum. Slight candy sugar that works well with the alcohol.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy light brownish orange. Nose is fruity with currants, plums, raisin, some yeast, spices, slight sweetness. Interesting taste - Christmasy mix of dried fruit and spices, with more raisins, prunes, apple, doughy yeast. Finishes medium-length, more spiciness. Nice take on the style.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled on draft at the FFF brewpub. Amber pour with white head. Aroma of raisins, dried fruits, belgian yeast. Flavor has some yeasty belgian stuff going on along with the dried fruits, light spice. Mouthfeel is a little off for the style. Flavor is nice though. I’m kind of in the middle with this one. Not exactly dead on but a pretty good tasting beer nonetheless.
