Bottle. Black with a large creamy tan head. Fresh citrusy and soapy hops, dark chocolate, liquorice. Medium body - pretty light for what I expected, oily texture, medium carbonation. Low on sweetness, long bitter finish. Good drinkability and my kind of black IPA.

Bottle, 22oz. An unclear, dark brown to black beer topped by a dense, light tan head. The aroma has lots of piney, grassy and resiny hops, some grapefruits and roasted malts. It’s bitter and resiny in the mouth, roasted and with dark chocolate. Full body and a nice carbonation level, semi-sweet and with a hop bitter finish that lasts. Some roasted malts and chocolate too in the finish. Sure a nice and pleasant one, wouldn’t mind repeating it. 140301

Bottled. Pours hazy and deep brown with a large, lacing tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee notes, a hint of citrus and resin. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft ccarbonation. A great black IPA.
