Sampled at esbls. Interesting looking dark brown. Little head. This has fairly big bitterness. Grapefruit. It numbs my yongue. Dark grains. Definitely has the FFF attitude. A bit gnarly and quite interesting.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Poured hazy dark brown with a large frothy tan head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted malt and earthy hop with a small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a dry slick texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy dark bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a very good complex beer.

22oz bottle, shared by nuplastikk. Very dark brown red color. Kinda clear around the edges. Thin light brown head, couple bits of lace. Awesome roasty, earthy malt, and herbal earthy hop aroma in the nose. Medium-plus body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Lightly dry. Smooth, lightly soft, lighter carbonation. Light smoke. Moderate bitter taste, light sweet.. Roasty, earthy longer aftertaste. Solid, assertive black IPA. Big on the dark malts and herbal notes.

22 oz. bottle shared by nuplastikk- thanks a lot, Greg! Pours a cloudy dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of grapefruit, chocolate, earth, toast, dust, and a bit of rubber. Flavor is the same, with some more roast and florals. Medium-bodied, with a roasty, bitter mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Hardcore. Tasty BIPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Purchased as a bomber at Three Floyds, enjoyed at home while relaxing on a Thursday night watching football. Great beer, great band! Appearance is a ruby dark brown / black with a very pronounced, bulbous off white head that nicely laces to the glass. Aroma is a fantastic floral hop profile, along with a nice roasted chocolate malt. Taste has a nice passion fruit hop profile, goes down with a light sweetness and is hop forward without being overtly bitter. Really nice brew.

22 oz bottle shared by nuplastikk. Pours a dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, some soapy character on the nose, not so much on the flavor, herbal, chocolate, earthy. Iíll finish later.

Bomber to snifter (shared by nuplastikk). Looks good; cola with beige lacing. Smells of well-balanced hops, dark malt, and roast. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Maybe a bit of spice too. A good example of the style.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark brown, not quite black. Nose is citrius hops with an underlying must. Taste is grapefruit and orange hops, smoke, the malt is close to what you would find in a dark lager with a touch of rye. Not sure about this one, i believe i liked their previous attempt at a BIPA better.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at FFF. Murky dark red brown. Nose of spicy rye with nice citrus aroma. Some pine and grass. Taste has nice subtle bitterness with fruit and smokiness to go with the dryness of the rye. Complex. Medium mouthfeel, quite dry. Great.
