4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours deep dark brown with thick creamy tan head. Aroma is roasty sweet malt and some floral/pine hops coming through. Taste is roasty coffee malt upfront with faint floral, piny hops on the follow through. Aftertaste is lingering roasted coffee and bitter hops. Palate is thin and somewhat sticky. Overall this is an interesting mix of things. Heavy roastiness with some hop bite. I would say this is a pretty solid take on a Black IPA.

Trade from BrewMane. thanks! Pours dark brown with some ruby with a tan one finger head that stays with it. Big sweet dry hop aroma with floral bots and definite citrus and pine. Some roasted malt in the backbone but smelling hop forward. Flavor is big bitter pine up front with a bit of spiciness and lots of toasty malt backbone. A nicely balanced brew. Medium mouthfeel and lots of carbonation. Dry finish. One of the better black ipa's for sure.

Bottle, courtesy of allesmetkaas, @ Rampkort tasting. Pours a dark brown, clear beer with a small light tanned head on top. Aroma is fresh and hoppy, spicy, licorice root and some molasses and sugar. Flavor is nice and bitter, very well balanced between the hops and malts. Has some grassy, pine notes in the taste as well. Decent drinkable, expected a bit more but it’s still a very nice beer.
