Poured from a 500mL bottle into a chalice. Pours dark brown, almost black. Thick brown head. Aroma is hoppy with layers of malt. There are notes of spices, pepper, and coriander. Flavour is loaded with hops up front with notes grapefruit and lemon. On the back end the dark malts start to come through but the hops win from start to finish which surprised me considering this is a black IPA. Overall a nice hoppy black IPA.

Enjoyed a 2oz. sample. Poured a dirty hazey, smutty brown. Notes of grass, toasted hops. Hops are clean and not punchy like you might expect. Great offering from.Three Floyds.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is floral hop and pine. Medium mouth, roast, bitter hop bite, pine and lingering bitterness, very good.

from Mikkeller&Friends - very dark brown beer with a long lasting beige foam; aroma of vanilla, licorice, black cherries and some earthy chocolate and coffee behind; a good malt backbone and a pretty velvety palate; tasty and fairly bitter; dry and long aftertaste of plums, licorice and black cherries

Bottle thanks to Rouhlas for sharing! Pours dark brown almost black with a thin beige head. Aroma of hops some fruit and dark malt. As the beer gets warmer I start to discover more taste... Hoppy bitternes and fruity taste involved with coffee and dark roasted malt. Realy complex beer that you can enjoy in warm temperature. Bittersweat aftertaste with nice carbonation for the style. Good beer !!!
