[2547-20091024] 1pt6floz bottle. Mild straw yeast aroma. Slightly hazy, light orange brown body with a quick foamy white head. Straw yeast flavour finishes with a plastic note. Medium body. Not wonderful, disappointing.

650 ml bottle
This was picked up about three weeks ago on a trip to Indiana/Illinois/Wisconsin. Unlike many Three Floyds beers this was a bit plain jane and toned down. If it had not been an inexpensive bomber I would have been disappointed. As it is this is a fairly average pilsener.

Aroma / Appearance - Carbonated with a golden body the pillowy white head grows. Crisp and wheaty the nose is a trace soapy. Overall this is pretty bland for a 3F bottle.

Flavor / Palate - Malty with a grainy texture this fills the mouth with a decent feel. Drinkable but not exceptional this is a good beer but subpar for the guys from Munster. It won’t put me off seeking more of their beers because it was cheap but if you are expecting a great beer pass on this.

22oz bomber courtesy of tjthresh.

Pours a clear sraw yellow with a thin white head that has some good retention and leaves specks of lacing. Aroma is honey, lemon, freshly mowed grass, grain, some tripel-like yeast, white sugar, cornmeal, and a bit of a macro-ish tinge of chemicals. Taste is sourdough bread, lemongrass, honey, biscuit, and a nice spicy hop backing that gets a bit soapy. A bit astringent. Palate is surprising: there is some body on this beer- good honey stickiness, soft carbonation. Not too much Pilsner character as much as normal good lager. Yum.

Sampled at Darkness Day. Pours a golden yellow with minimal head. Aroma is yeasty, floral and earthy hops and some lightly roasted malts. Flavor is bitter. Palate is rough but decent. Solid pilsener.

Sampled from 22-oz bomber during Darkness Day 2009 in Brooklyn Center, MN. Pours a clear golden yellow colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, fruity, some grassy hops and a touch of honey. Taste is light to medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, some floral hops, some apple and a little bread dough. Finish has a nice balanced aftertaste of golden grain malt and floral hops. Some multi-personality between the aroma and taste but still enjoyable.

Courtesy of fishingnet. Pours deep gold with copper hues and thin off white head. The aroma is sticky sweet graininess, honey, wheat and a touch of apple. The taste starts with a small amount of tart tannin like fruit skin and then quickly moves into grains, wheat, honey a just a dash of biscuit.

2009-10-24. Lightly hazy pastel yellow, small white head. 3+ Mild aroma, sweetly floral hops, muted grass and straw. 6+ Flavour is similar, floral hops, light pleasant bitterness throughout. Mild pale malts. 6+ Average palate is a touch light. Okay, fairly mild but a good example of the style. Pleasant session brew. Bottle from the brewery.

Bottle from FFF. Poured clear yellow color with an average white fizzy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet grainy flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Just drinkable brew.

(bottle ( 22ozl ). shared by jerc at October 2009 WaterlooWeekend. Hazy gold, average frothy white head. Grassy, somewhat acidic and sweet - taste is quite grassy-bitter, clover and only a bit of alcohol - fairly bitter, but not your typical TF hop monster - grassy and dry, would be great with fish. Average body, quite astringent, enough light malt, but mostly about a crisp dry bitter finish and linger. Really, really good.

Bomber I took home from brewpub. Pours hazy gold with white head. Aroma is bready malts, grain, light hops. Flavor honey, floral hops, grain, and bready malts. Finishes clean and crisp. Really easy drinking and enjoyable pils. Good stuff.
