Aroma is spicy noble hops and light cereal grains, I also get a very faint sulfur note. Pours a clear straw color with a fluffy white head that has great retention and leaves lots of lacing. Flavor is light malts, slight bitterness, and spicy noble hops. Light-medium body with reasonably high carbonation.

Bomber. Pours hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is straw and citrus. Flavor is straw and some caramel malt. Nice for a pilsener.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma of grassy hops and caramel. Taste is fresh crisp hops, citrussy and grassy, reminds me of some good Czech beer, good caramelly malty, nice balanced with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. Dry end, quite good.

On tap into a glass at Three Floyd’s...They have this listed on the menu as a "Continental Pils" so I’m reviewing this as a pilsner...A dark straw pour, murky but mostly clear. Off white head with good lacing...The aroma has a strong malt backbone of a typical pilsner, some corn sweetness comes through but I doubt that was used. On the lighter side, but nice...The taste is a non-skunky pilsner, reminds me of a good European beer. Herbs, pilsner malt, light bitter finish. This is one of my least favorite styles but for the style one of the best ones I’ve had, especially from an American brewery. If you like pilsners you have to get this. Score is too high for an average beer, but not for style.

not a pilsner colour. orange yellow and hazy. aroma isn’t my favourite. slightly sweet malt and hay or straw. med/full body and mildly fizzy. not crisp like i think a pilsner should be. interesting hoppy peachy flavour. i have a hard time calling this a pils but it is nice enough.

[22oz bottle at BrewDog Bar, Edinburgh] Very hazy deep orange pour with no head to speak of. Aromas of apple and pineapple, with a noticeable apple flavour on the palate. Quite syrupy with the oily thickness, with a slightly warming boozy finish which is a bit skunky. Interesting stuff, different to most other pilsners [15032011]

22oz bomber from FFF Brewpub. Straw gold. Sweet pale malts, citrus, lemon, grassy hops. Excellent malty backbone with seamless transition to spicy Saaz-esque bitterness. Some grass and lemon. Light and refreshing. Quite good.

Bottle… Hazy golden lager with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. Good retention. The nose offers earthy, peppery hops overlying a thin layer of pale biscuity malt. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and busy carbonation. Well-balanced flavor. Sweet pale malts stabilized by herbal, peppery, spicy hop bitterness. Finishes crisp and bittersweet (more sweet than bitter). Beer temperature was about 65°F. Bottle courtesy of darkguardian!

On tap at FFF; dimpled mug seemed questionable, he head dissipated quickly. Frothy head from the tap initially. Subdued pils aromas. Florals and grains really. Subdued sums it up. It tastes quality, but simpler than id expect, honestly.

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2011 22 oz. bottle sent by lushawn- thanks a ton, Shawn! Pours a bright yellow-gold color with a small-medium white head that fizzes down to a film relatively quickly. Aroma of clean, grassy noble hops, bready and sweet pale malts, straw, sugar, and crackers. Flavor is just the same as the nose- bright, clean, refreshing, and just hoppy enough to make it interesting. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a crisp, grassy, bready mouthfeel. Dry finish. Really nice surprise, a pilsener with some character that still drinks so easily. Why aren’t more pilseners like this?
