Auction winner. Sampled with Steogsaurus. Another great beer by 3F. A great blend of caramel malts, pine, sweetness and toast. Very good for the style.

Bomber. Brownish copper pour with a decent non lasting head. Nose was pleasant with plenty of hops and other floral and spice notes. Taste has a very familiar FFF hop forward presence along with a solid malt backbone. Enjoyable different approach to this style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650ml bottle. Muddy orange with lots of slightly orange head. Webs of lace. Black tea leaves, grapefruit and spice on the nose with something else I canít put a finger on. Black tea dominates the palate as well with a big spicy vibe. Finishes very dry.

big head, highly carbonated and has a muddy orange/amber colour. aroma is very hoppy, spicy and has a black tea component that is interesting. Big flavourful brew with lots of carbonation, has an alcoholic kick and bitter. very tasty!

Cloudy bronze pour, big fruity aroma, thick head with great lacing. This is a flavorful bitter that gets better with every sip. Another outstanding beer from Three Floyds. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Muddy orange with a fragmented head. Strong tropical aroma of peach, pineapple and orange. The flavour is initially sweet but quickly turns into a dry bitterness. The finish is long and a bit aggresive in its warming alcohol, despite the relatively moderate 6,5 % It does however get better and better by the sip!

Bottle, 22oz. Itís an unclear, golden-orange beer topped by a finger-thick off-white head. Lots of pineapple, pine cones and citrus on the nose, with some malty meatyness. The flavor is hop dominated, in a nice way, and not too bitter, but in my opinion, itís too sweet. A bit too heavy on the carbonation too I think, full body. Fruity and lightly bitter finish with some warmth. A quite nice one, although too sweet. 110826

Bottle, courtesy me. Pour is light brown/amber with a beige head, good retention/lace. Aroma of citrus, pine, apple, biscuit, very light toast. Taste is biscuit, orange, resinous hops, light tea. Palate is oily, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Very good.

651mL thanks to tastybeer. No thanks to tjthresh. Pours a tea amber with a rocky, sheen, yellowish head. Sheety, sticky lace. Nose is soapy, stickier orange moving to excellent cinnamon apple pie. Taste is a bit tea tannic, oily orange, leafy hops. I can see ESB here from the autumn leaf and tea character. Not a hop bomb thankfully. Softer and nicely sessionable in large doses. Good stuff. Palate is oily with nice resin to balance. Excellent. Some nice butternut squashy noble hops. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I bought a 22oz bottle of this while I was at Three Floyds Brewery in Early 2012 for $8. Pours a cloudy medium brown color with a fluffy cream colored head. The scent lives up to its name as it has a strong bitter scent of hops. Starts off with a refreshing wet taste that is bready and malty. It moves into a crisp bitter finish that is dry and complex. Like other 3 Floyds beers that I have had, this one is blended nicely together that is makes it hard to pick out individual attributes as they compliment each other very well. Only complaint is this was a little more watery then I was expecting, but the dry finish makes up for it.
