22oz bottle in a taster. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of lots of sweet caramel and malts and wheat, some bitterness, and faint hints of alcohol. Flavor mainly of the smooth but sweet malts. Smoother texture. A solid beer but couldn’t drink a lot of this.

Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep dark brown amber beer with small carbonation and small brown head. Smell: hoppy and caramel domination. Sweet malt and barley notes. High sweet presence. Taste: nice body, very sweet with good malt taste and well balanced with a dry hoppy and resin taste. Very nice hoppy barley wine. Aftertaste: caramel and dry hoppy taste.

Hazy medium amber body with a small, off-white head that laces the glass well and ends up as a thin layer. Sweet, hoppy and strong aroma of overripe tropical fruits (including papaya), pungent cheese and caramel. Strong flavour that follows the aroma, but with more caramel and less cheese. Moderate sweet taste with a quite heavy bitter and long-lasting finish. Full body, oily texture and rather soft carbonation. A very nice barley wine, if you’re up for seriously overripe tropical fruits.
