sprinkle (111), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA May 1, 2008 Deep copper in color. Thick tan head that lingers with thick lace. Decent nose, but thats the big thing that this beer is lacking. Very nice on the palate. Round mouthfeel, the hops and the malts compliment each other perfect.
Hophead22 (265), Redlands, California, USA Oct 11, 2008 22oz bottle, via trade with drewbeerme, thank you Andrew! Nice malty/hoppy aroma. Very nice color, dark copper with a nice white head. Hoppy bitterness, slight maltiness. Very good brew, so glad to have tried this. FatPhil (2368), Espoo, Finland Oct 10, 2008 600ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki) - shared by mjs - thanks!
Deep orange, no head. Sweet sherbetty aroma. Pleasant carbonation, but, at the same time, sweet and sticky. Slightly gingery taste. Tangy and hoppy. A touch of soap, but that doesn’t build up beyond its initial low prominence. Still sherbetty even after half an hour. As it warms and flattens, the aroma becomes more complex and interesting - very tangy and spicy. What a great sipping beer, enjoyed every drop. Bockyhorsey (2033), Mesa, Arizona, USA Oct 8, 2008 Sampled @ Tucson Tasting courtesy of cbkschubert. Amber body with off white head. Malt caramel nose for aroma. Flavor had a good mix of moderate sweet malt and medium hop bitter. Just littlle dull on the palate heavy on the palate. Thanks Craig. Madsnp (145), Odense C, Denmark Oct 7, 2008 Bottle. Thanks to Stefan! Clear amber coloured with a dense off white head. Aroma is malty and sweet with a nice amount of hops. The flavour is sweet with hoppy notes of grapefruit and pine. Scauca (260), Lovere, Italy Oct 6, 2008 Filtered clear amber with a creamy head. Malty sweet, caramel, piney and citrusy hoppiness. All of that quite weak and a bit faint. Medium-Hi bodied, warming with a quite bitter end.
