sunevdj (1347), Copenhagen, Denmark May 9, 2008 Bottle from Dark Lord Day shared at toncatcher’s. Pours a clear amber with a slightly tanned head. Sweet with some bitterness. Lots of hoppy, fruity grapefruit aromas. Caramel aromas with lots of hops. Light alcohol aromas. Full bodied with a sticky mouthfeel. Softish carbonation. Longish dry finish. Nice-one.
TURDFERGUSON (1021), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Jul 22, 2008 Tasted at the Carolina Crew gathering, Greenville - thanks to ucusty for sharing! Nose has a lot of hops. Flavor has a good bit of hops too. Surprise. Pretty nicely balanced and alcohol pretty well hidden. Not too much to complain about besides this tasting very similar to almost every other 3 Floyds beer I have had. Its good though. Magic_dave6 (3533), London, England Jul 22, 2008 Bottle at the RBESG08 Grand tasting. Alround rating: Great beer, huge caramalt sweet malt character balanced by an amazing peachy citrus hop character. Soo tasty i managed to get 2 samples. bager (1900), Copenhagen N, Denmark Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. Hazy reddish and golden coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Quite well balanced - and luckely, zero to none of the horrible banana flavour. Phew! Robust and malty - quite complex and interesting. bierkoning (4636), La Tropica, Netherlands Jul 22, 2008 Bottle @ DTS. Reddish amber color. Banana and mango in the aroma. Firm flowery, oily hopbitter flavor, hiding the fruity notes. Burning alcohol. Earthy hopbitter aftertaste. Balance could be a bit better. ucusty (849), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 21, 2008 Carolina Crew Gathering Greenville, NC. Thanks to Sprinkle for this! Hazy gold pour, fizzy head. Green hoppy aroma. Caramel malts, and a slightly spicy/hot finish.
