4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nasmaak is vooral rozijn.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from Papsoe. Thanks Henrik! It pours a dark amber color with a small and short lived off white head. The nose is monstrous and full of vanilla and fruity citrus jam notes. The flavor reminds me of peach marmalade with a good dose of vanilla and a slightly bitter back end to help round out the sweetness. A little syrupy and sweet with a lasting finish. I really enjoyed this brew.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark amber pour. Aged aroma, wood, raisin, some caramel and pine forest. No real hop experience. Bitter base and sticky palate. Somewhat roasted sweetness. Bit of syrup. It’s decent but somehow I expected even more. (Bottle at Colin’s De Molen tasting)

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
A-- Poured a clear dark amber color. Off white one finger head with no visible carbonation. Really nice head retention on a few swirls. Has held up well for a beer over a year old.
S-- Pine, grapefruit and a bit of maple syrup at first. Letting it sit and warm a bit more it is mostly pine and grapefruit. More like a soft IPA or barleywine by the smell. No oat smell at all.
T-- Soft pine, orange and grapefruit. Still a bit of a maple taste to it. Also got rolled oats in the first sip but no more after that.
M-- A lot of pine and citrus. At times aggressive and others not so much. Medium carbonation in the mouth and gets heavier as it sits. Flavor does last a while and is mostly pine and citrus. Get a bit of a syrupy feel as well.
D-- It is Ok, nothing too worthy of getting excited over.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared at my tasting on May 29, 2010. Thanks Jonathan!
Hazy orange with a decent head and lacing. OatGoop has a very complex aroma with scents of hops, pine, honey, resin, and alcohol, among other aromas. The beer is sweet and has a caramel aspect to it. This seems to be somewhat consistent with the other wheatwines I’ve tried so far. The body is too thin, even for a wheatwine. The sweetness becomes overbearing after a few ounces. This is a good beer to share several ways at a tasting.

Pors deep amber with a small off-white nose. Good lacing. Hoppy nose with notes of orange, caramel and citrus. Sweet flavor with bread, caramel, orange and citrus. Full bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Excellent.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I like this much more than the Boogoop. But I have also been sitting on this for at least 18 months-ish. Very smooth with deep malt character. Not too heavy. I wanna know this recipe because it far exceeded my expectations. Still some juicy slit citrus hops bouncing around. Solid effort. Might be a little sour note n the back end

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Bottle) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, malty, hoppy nose with red fruit, citrus, orange marmalade, treacle, caramel and a touch of black-currant. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, treacle, bitter orange marmalade, dried apricots and loads of citric hops. Quite vinous finish with some warming alcohol. Full body, slightly oily mouthfeel. Fairly sweet. It’s a bit hard to pinpoint the oat character through all the hops. Quite an impressive beer. Very nice.
