3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber to taster (thanks tmoney99). Looks good; a transparent orange with white lacing. Smells solid; sweet and HOPPY. Tastes like it smells with a good mouthfeel. Not what Iíd call a barleywine (as itís categorized), but itís good beer nonetheless.

Pour is light cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is pineapple hops. Taste is a thick beer, very hoppy. It was a dry beer with a pine hop aftertaste. Nice lacing. A very tasty beer.

Bright orange pour. Fluffy white head. Can smell the rice but doesn't dominate. Good fruity taste. Can't say one bad thing about this

Pine and hop aromas. Awesome pine and citrus hop flavors. The best of both worlds. Overall a very good IPA.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had on tap at Stout Barrel House. Served in a snifter.
A: Pours a solid apricot color with a thin white head head forming on the pour. It recedes to a thin film that leaves some sticky sheets of lace.
S: Candied oranges and tangerines with a sweetened cereal grain malt body balancing it out. Nice lemon and lime zest to give a bit of kick. This smells like a big DIPA as opposed to a barley wine.
T: The taste is much more malty and yeasty than the nose. Some sweet candied sugar with a grainy malt sweetness make up the body with some yeasty chalkiness that provide some fruity esters. More lemon zest like the nose with some bitter orange peel as well.
M: Medium bodied with a malty body and a medium low carbonation level. Slightly drying as well.
O: This was solid overall, but it didnít quite know what it was. The nose was extremely fruity and the taste was much more malt forward.
Serving type: on-tap

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at floyds. Pours a lightly colored cloudy orange color with about a half finger head. Doesnít necessarily look like a barley wine. Aroma is just great. Resiny hops, with pine, grapefruit, other citrus fruits, candied sugar. Slight touch of some malty notes from the rice. Significant amount of carmel malt in the nose as well. Taste starts with lots of pine and citrus and tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango, and then you get a significant amount of sweetness that balances out the hop bitterness. You also get carmel, sweet malts that help balance the hops as well. I donít taste any alcohol and it is over 10%. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation. Not really a barley wine in my opinion. Just an excellent ale. Possibly a double ipa.

This is more like a DIPA, which is good. Wonderful citrus aroma and flavor. Love the dry finish, well hidden alcohol, and the smooth and creamy body. Overall, this is just damn good.

Wow, they knocked it out of the park with this one. Pours light gold with am ample sudsy head. The aroma is amazing. Super juicy dank and fruity hops dominate the nose. The taste is about the same with a velvety mouthfeel and a piney, bitter finish. It doesnít get a whole lot better for hop heads.
