COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Behold! The fifth collaborative effort of Three Floyds and Mikkeller. This complex ale is just the beverage for canal boat trips in Copenhagen or the brutal Chicago winter. This year’s offering will be brewed in both Europe and in Chicago. Look for both editions and the subtle differences in each. Cheers and thanks for supporting craft beer.

Bottle. Aroma of herbal, oily hops, sweet malts, citrus peel, spice and tropical fruits. The flavor is the same but sharper and less oily. Reminds me more of a DIPA that has been in the cellar for some time.

200ml, draught at Mikkeller & Friends, shared with Skinnyviking. Faint white head to an apricot coloured body. Fresh and dried fruity nose. Spiced fruity taste supported by pine needles and hints of honey sweetness. Lingering sharp and hoppy ending with tingling alcohol. Full bodied. Pretty good (Copenhagen, 22.03.2013).

Uploading old ratings that were missing comments. I was able to buy several bottles of this and I enjoyed it more than the prior year's version. Huge hops with lots of tropical fruit. Great balance and amazingly soft palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. A clear dark go0lden to pale amber beer, with an average sized, frothy, lacing, mostly lasting, white head. The aroma is lightly to moderately malty (caramel), moderately to heavily hoppy (resin, grapefruit, apricot), with notes of lemon, orange, passion fruit, lychee, mint, with a hint of alcohol. The flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, very long finish with almost heavy bitterness, moderately alcoholic. A tropical fruit bomb in the nose, not overly sticky mouthfeel, right amount of booze. A lot more DIPA than BW. Overall, excellent and it tastes rather fresh.

Has some big citrus/grapefruit scents. Taste is some pungent resin hop with some citrus. Don't get Barleywine at all when I poured this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

January 20, 2013 - bottle shared by Brandon. Orange pour with nice amount of head that faded fast. Aroma was hoppy and grainy. Taste was rough, just grainy, bitter and a dry alcohol finish.
