2009-10-24. Black body with a small khaki head that fades. 3+ Aroma is pleasant, light roast, dark malt is milder than expected. 7+ Flavour is similarly much less assertive than I anticipated but rich. Decent malt character, lactose? - in a good way - very light bitterness in the finish. 8+ Alcohol is not at all noticeable. Smooth average to medium bodied palate. 3+ Pretty solid stout, very drinkable. Bottle from Liquor Stop, Indiana

Aroma is sweet milk chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet chocolate and milk. Go figure... Some dull cocoa is also present. Finish is slick and sweet, but not cloying. Has a certain Three Floyds Je Ne Sais Quois.

(bottle ( 22oz ). shared by jerc & mabel at October 2009 WaterlooWeekend. Thick, slick, black-looking pour, small brown head. Lovely creamy, mildly lactic aroma, hint of hint and rich chocolate - smooth. Taste - wow - so smooth, HOW is this 8%? Tastes like 4 .... cream, Belgian chocolate, light mint/herbal bittering, mostly chocolate and light mocha - terrific. Smooth, creamy, lightly carbonated - silky and balanced and so, so good.

22oz bottle. Pours black with mocha brown head. The aroma is somewhat roasty with a good amount of sweetness and a touch of raisin and date notes. Taste is a mix of cream and roast. Very some smooth and creaminess mouth feel, but not a overly thick. Very nice drinkable beer.

Bomber shared by largadeer on BA - thanks, Chris! Pours pitch black with a medium tan head. Aroma is great with rich milk chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. Flavor is full, sweet and well-balanced with chocolate brownies, coffee, roasted malt, and cream. Body is medium and palate is extremely smooth. Surprise surprise, another great beer from FFF.

Tasted 10/8/09. 22oz bomber. Pitch with an opaque hue. Thick dense tan head. Aromas of chocolate and fudge. Sweet breads and cocoa. Medium to full bodied with a very sweet initial malt note. Flavors of cocoa, chocolate and fudge. Very sweet and smooth. Silky. Mildly tangy with a trace amount of hops. Very well crafted sweet stout!

Dont remember this beer very much from last night...kind of a blur...some chocolate, some vanilla, and a very creamy mouthfeel. What I remember is a good beer.
