3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Thanks, Kevin. Relatively black, with a lovely, fine bubbled, velvety layer of cream that lasts stupendously long on top. Aroma lends notes of woodsy roast, chocolate, burnt grains, underlying cream, & a mild residual sweetness mostly reminiscent of caramelized brown sugar. Taste has a nice creamy sweetness up front, leading into bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, toasty brown sugar, & burnt caramel. Roast in the finish with a very faint undercurrent of milky sweetness. Nice, thick, creamy mouth feel... Enjoyed this one even more than I thought I would! Very nice milk stout.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Got a bottle from a trade. Pours heavy into a dark black with a thick thick creamy cocoa color head. Aroma isnt very strong. A milky sweet smell. A sugary sweet sip that is just on the verge of being too sweet. Taste like the milk left over in a chocolatey cereal. In a great way. Sweet stuff but they make it work. Would not mind at all getting some more of this. Also probably my favorite label by the brewery.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
2013/09 650ml bomber courtesy of readbaron (CHI), thanks! Pours a relatively thin deep brown with beige crema pillow. Fragant from a distance: dark roast, an acidic prickle (lactic acid developing over 6months in the bottle?) and (oddly) quite a rich load of bourbon chip and vanilla notes (label does not mention any wood aging). Suave and mid-creamy mouthfeel, well-rounded due to the oats. None to sweet, very well-balanced between dark chocolate, crema and light coffee notes with a very disctinct woody acidity projected onto the palate with a lively prickle. Excellent, taste-developed, not too heavy dessert treat for a walnut ice beer float.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured from a bomber purchased at 3F into a 3F pint glass a deep dark brown with a massive tan head.
Aroma is coffee chocolate molasses ever so slight smoke.
Flavor is incredible. Sweet cocoa silky smooth. Subtle coffee even more subtle smoke which creates an incredible balance of flavor.
Overall this brew is smooth & luscious sweet milk stout. Pretty much the best milk stout I have ever tasted.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured from a 2013 ( about 1 year old) bomber into Three Floyd glass. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate. Appearance is a dark brown almost black allowing virtually no light to pass. Pours a nice frothy 2 finger tan head that dissipates slowly. Taste is an incredible semi sweet dark chocolate with a slight smoke finish. Palate is almost milkshake like going down very smooth. A definite recommend for everyone tp try.

Milk Milk Milk. Specifically, Milk, chocolate, caramel. My notes says I was eating with some Buffalo wings. Makes sense. Have not had many milk stouts/sweet stouts, so I don;t have much to compare to.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from a trade poured into a Belgian snifter. Pours black with some brown hues with half a finger of tan head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, lactose, toastiness, caramel, biscuit. Tasting notes of dark and milk chocolates, light roast, caramel, lactose, light toastiness, nutty. Medium body with a semi-dry finish, creamy mouthfeel. One of the better milk stouts that I’ve had so far. Pairs nicely with some 5 year gouda.
