McBeer (12), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA Nov 15, 2006 Drinking notes from GTM 06: Wow this is can not be a stout. I have never tasted a stout this sweet. Very pleasant, must try again next year. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA Nov 15, 2005 Oh, Mama! Thanks, Brian, for sharing this growler. Stuff pours jet black like 10W40 with a thick and creamy brown head. Decorates the glass with beautiful lace. Stick your nose in there and smell butter toffee, hazelnuts, chocolate, cherries, roasted coffee, hops (it is 3F), and more. Let the orchestra play their symphony on your olfactory senses. Sip and feel the smoothness, the minimal carbonation, the creaminess. The flavor blends everything to a basic of coffee with thick, rich cream and shots of chocolate and hazelnuts. Yum. ElGaucho (1720), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Aug 24, 2005 GTM. Rich, stoutish aroma with some chocolate milk notes. Black body, fully opaque, huge light tan head. First impression is of coconut, but is more sweet milk. This brew was named after the "moloko milk" in A Clockwork Orange and quite honestly, this tastes like the sweet, alcoholic milk they referred to in the book. Outstanding. I wish they’d bottle this. Not much bite; smooth. Surprisingly high alcohol for the taste. Well done guys. JoshuaB (418), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 6, 2005 Draft at 3F. Pours a drak black with foamy chocolate colored head. Nose is lots of chocolate, some coconut, and dry malt. Taste is like a milkshake. Lots of dark chocolate and some coffee, along with a nice caramel and coconut hint. Nice mouthfeel. Sweet, but not overly so. Getting a growler next time. RooftopRogue (423), Champaign, Illinois, USA Nov 12, 2005 This beer boasts a dark black color (it must have been the lighting at Three Floyd’s Brewpub, but I think I saw a blue tint to this beer). It is disappointing that such a brilliantly colored beer has a mere glaze of a head and leaves only a smidgen of lacing in its wake. A nice hearty combination of coffee, chocolate, and toffee rise to meet the scent glands. This moderately thick stout spreads evenly through the mouth offering a sweet coffee taste that has a hint of smoke lingering in the background. The throat is not disappointed as the sweet coffee taste lingers and lingers and lingers.
