Color is a slightly hazy dark golden with a white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Bready, earthy nose. Nice medium mouthfeel and body. A little hop bite at the front that smooths out quickly. Flavors of sweetish caramel malts come through. Easy drinker and, in my opinion, a more enjoyable brew than some actual German Oktoberfests.

Bottle, thanks to J! Pours nice clear amber. Aroma: toasty, well-lagered - clean and crisp in the aroma. Some sweet caramel, stone fruit. Really nice. Taste: moderate sweetness, light bitterness in the finish, short crisp finish. Light body, average carbonation, crisp texture. Overall: not usually a style I'm crazy about, but this is really well executed and tasty.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pour from a 22 oz bomber. Cloudy amber brew with rich thich head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, green fruit. Taste is rather plain - a little sweet caramel at the start followed by a bit of green fruit and just enough bittering in the finish to offset the sweetness. Overall OK but rather lackluster.

Bottle. Pours amber with some light coming through and nearly no head to speak of. The aroma almost has an apple characteristic to it, maybe a bit of caramel, light floral presence. The taste is sweet malty, a bit of apple comes through again, not much hop to it but it is easy to drink. Would prefer it less sweet but this is ok in the style.
