Commercial Description:
22oz and tap at brewery & St Thomas Moore Oktoberfest- using all German malts, with a distinctive German hoppiness.

A Bavarian-style Oktoberfest bier brewed with the finest Bavarian malted barley, aromatic German noble hops and traditional yeast brewed in strict accordance with the German bier purity law of 1516, the Reinheitsgebot. This rich malty lager is one of the few that remain true to the tradition of fest beers originally brewed to honor the marriage of Prince Ludwig in 1810. We hope you enjoy this fall offering. Es is nicht normal. Prosit."

Draft. This is apparently available commercially for 2006 to whichever commercial accounts get the first deliveries next week. This is still pretty young. It pours pretty brown and hazy at this date. Has a yeasty bite at first, but the smell of its caramel and Vienna roast malts overcomes that. A bit gassy, but again very malty, and quietly hopped for a Floyds beer. Although there may be a bit of American northwest hops to add a bit of citrusy taste.

Pours a golden orange with slight haze and a very thin white sudsy head. Not much aroma at all - grain/malt only. Flavor is similarly one dimensional with cereal grain predominating and not much else going on. Disappointed with this offering from Three Floyds though I suspect this may be an old bottle.

bottle, thanks to pittsburghkid, golden colored pour with good standing foam, aroma of fruity toffee, flavors of carrot juice, caramel and grainy, finish is a little weak

Bottle: Poured a dirty golden color ale with a tiny foamy head with light retention and not much lacing. Aroma of overly sweet malt with some grainy cereal cereal is more or less interesting. Taste is also dominated by some grainy cereal with some overly sweet notes. Body has an oily texture with medium carbonation. Not sure I get what the goal was but I didn’t enjoy this - lacking caramel malt.

9th October 2008. GABF. Slightly hazy golden beer. Sweetish light malt. Nothing out of the odinary going on here! Just a competent brew.

Bottle: Pours a clear copper with a thin off-white head. Has a sweet hoppy aroma and flavor with hints of caramel. Creamy texture with a medium body that finishes smooth and dry. Refreshing.

Bottle. Barley malt and floral/hay hops aroma. Clear amber color with minimal head. Sweet corn syrup and barley malt flavor. Pretty standard fest beer - good but pretty average.

22 oz. bottle via trade with StFun - Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Light lacing. Aroma is toasted malt and light hops. Flavor is fruity esters and toasted malt. Medium body. The hops and esters linger a tad. I wouldn’t say this is a traditional Oktoberfest/Märzen , but it still tastes pretty good. Thanks Josh.

TAP: red/gold pour, offwhite head. Light malt on the nose, taste is caramel, malt, mildly roasty, but no big flavor here. Decent beer, not a standout.
