Draft at FFF. Pours a reddish brown with a slim tan head. The nose is bready and herbal. Malt really presents itself with the flavor. A bit on the thin side. Tasty but not awe inspiring.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar. Clear orange coloured with a small off-white head. Fruity aroma of hops, caramel, grass and pine needles. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits, hops and pine needles. Sweet and hoppy finish.

Head is just a thin white ring. Clear amber body. Clean citric resiny aroma with toffee, caramel and mint notes. Dry-sweet intense minty resiny oranges taste with peas and butter notes. Mid-bodied. Mild yet sharpish mouthfeel. Dry-bitter minty floral toffee aftertaste with spicy buttery resin notes. A spicy minty flavour lingers. Lovely, subdued barleywine with good harmony and balance. (0.2l draft at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen.)

draft at brewery, pours hazy amber with white head. a very sweet candy sugar, cranberry and raisins with pinnapple in there too. flavors are candy sugar, booze soaked cherries, pinnapple, harsh piney and booze making it hard to swallow, syurpy body. i wouldn’t mind about 5oz of this during the winter months, perhaps this in a barrel or just aging it longer could be better too.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours cloudy amber/copper with a small white head. Toffee, berries, bitter hops, fruit and vague yeast. Works well. Full bodied. Ends dry and bitter.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8BC, kld., DK-1655 Copenhagen, Denmark.

Clear medium to dark amber orange colour with a small, frothy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted - roasted, moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, soapy - flowery hops, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110525]

Fad: Orange øl med et fint lille skumhoved. Duft af humle og malt, en god del humle. Næsten IIPA, typisk amerikansk style og ikke english style. Men fin fin øl og meget drikbar.

@ Gravity Head. Amber hazy pour. Nose is toasted malt, biscuit and loads of herbal, resinous, and earthy grassiness. taste is hop dominate at first then gives way to some Visconti malt flavors. Slick full body. not bad.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2010 On tap at FFF; pours a dark copper, with modest white head that sits faintly along the edges. nice english hop aroma - with a hint of sweetness, like caramel. At first, i believed that the english hops were the downfall of this brew - and honestly i think it holds it back a bit, but after a duration it did grow on me. The brew has an earthy element to it. Hops hit you up front, but it meshes with the maltiness - thick, almost sticky mouthfeel - it is a fairly smooth brew for the abv, i give it that. Not bad - but nothing special, whatsoever.

Had on draft at FFF. Not too bad, but I think this beer missed it’s mark for a barley wine. There was nothing really great about it. I can’t put my finger on it, but I was left wanting more.
