4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Long Island, NY - 22 oz. bottle courtesy of Valpobeerclub. It poured a glories orange color with white fluffy head. Aroma was intense of citrus and hops. Taste was initially sweet and very hoppy. I really like the extra hoppiness of this india pale ale. There is a layer of earthiness that is present as well. It seems like there was a quick essence added towards the end of the brewing process. This by far was the best Imperial IPA that I’ve had to date. Good job Three Floyds, very good job! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours a lightly cloudy orange color with a one-inch white head. Messy lacing coats the glass after a few sips. Aromas of tropical fruit, some citrus, ripe pineapple, melon, slight bubblegum. Medium bitterness and a medium sweetness that both linger. Juicy. Medium bodied. Soft, smooth, and lightly creamy mouth feel. Dangerously drinkable; only sign of the high alcohol is the malt sweetness.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A fantastic brew, super citrusy showing nectarine, mango and melon fruit above floral notes and a crisp hop backbone. Creamy texture that really opens up as it warms. Abv covered very well here, amazingly long and smooth through the finish. Hops are understated compared to the Dreadnaught but are in perfect balance, adding to the complex finish.

Pours clear orange/amber with a generous white head. Aroma is citrus and malt in a very nice charge. Taste is a nice viscous malt with appropriate level of bitterness and the citrus hop note. Very nice DIPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg. Unclear orange with a medium sized off white head. Pine, wood, grapefruit, light caramel, light caramelized onion, lychee. Full body, quite some sweetness, light sticky but it is overpowered by solid bitterness. Carries the alcohol well. Long dry and bitter finish. Bone dry finish. Probably not fresh.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Hazy orange, with a thin white head. Aroma is resinous orange oils and pine., and it tastes very much like it smells. Nice brisk carbonation, without being too much, and the alcohol is well hidden. (Day after Zoltan)

Had on tap at 3 Floyds. Nice balance of hops, citrus, and slight pine. Body is full but really really smooth. No question one of the best double IPAs that I’ve had.

Big tropical fruit, apple, and cat litter aromas. Sweet and sticky mouthfeel. Nice citrus flavor up front, followed smoothly by a green hop bite. Awesome stuff.
