Drank while listening to Pig Destroyer. Fresh bomber. Pours clear orange with a dense white head. Aroma is big citrus and pineapple with outstanding depth. The taste is clean and crisp with a harmony of pineapple, pine and a sturdy malt flavor on the back end. This stuff is delicious, on par with the best of 3F’s ipa’s.

Bomber purchased from brewpub 6/25, no bottled-on date. Pours deep gold with nice head. Strong tropical fruit aroma, orange pith and mango, booze, astringent floral notes. Flavor is bitter, sticky pine, grapefruit, plus some more bitter. Oily mouthfeel makes it a slow drinker. Aroma much more tantalizing than flavor. Fairly solid DIPA.

Bottle (22 oz). Shared by JulienHuxley, thanks! Split with the Québec crew.

Appearance: Hazy golden with a small white head and little lacing.

Aroma: Quite hoppy and boozy with resin, citrus, dank notes and toasted malts.

Taste: Medium sweetness with resin, caramel, fruity (citrus, mangoes, melon), boozy presence and moderate to medium bitterness.

Palate: Medium to full body. Medium carbonation. Oily. Sweet and warming finish. Resinous.

Overall: It’s not bad and not too barley wine-ish for a more than 10% abv Imperial IPA but it’s still way too sweet, boozy and cloying for my liking. Tasty and well-executed for what it is but I would rather stick with the lower abv hoppy stuff from FFF which is usually clean and amazingly drinkable (unlike this one).

Bottle shared by JulienHuxley, thanks a bunch Julien! Pours a hazy golden with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of pine, fruits, melon and asiatic fruits. Different than your usual IIPA. Taste is pretty sweet and bursting with caramel but also pretty bitter. A lot of alcohol but not too hot (to me at least). Just a big big beer. Body is medium-full, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel sticky and sugary. Overall a pretty good IIPA, heavyweight.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2015 Bottle shared, thanks Duffman! Clear gold pour with thick frothy white head. Aroma is intensely hoppy, very resinous, piney, boozy notes, citra, tropical fruits, light dankness. Taste is lightly bitter, sweet, tons of tropical fruit, boozy. Palate is med-full bodied with med carbonation. Tasty.

22 oz bottle poured out in a tulip. The beer is a murky burnt orange with a thick off white head that leaves nice lacing as it shrinks. Aroma is pine, tropical fruit, apricot, and caramel. On to taste. At first sip this beer opens up with big tropical fruit flavors. Mango, pineapple, and stone fruits. There is also a load of caramel malts and a dry, piney finish. The beer is thick overall, but quenching and finishes pretty long. Outstanding beer.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session I, 01/05/2015. Very lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off white head. Nose carries punchy hop notes, bitter citric shreds, grapefruit, pine. Taste comprises pine needle, juicy hops, orange pith, straw, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent DIPA, drinks below the ABV and never gets sweet or sticky.

Draught@CBC2015. Slightly hazy orange colour with a small fluffy head. Aroma is fruits, some grapes, mild resin, wood, sweet malts as well as some slight notes of alcohol. Flavour is fruity, floral, some pine, resin, mild grass as well as both some sweeter malts as well as some quite biscuity maltiness as well.

Light golden orange, light white head. Mango and tropical fruit sweetness, strong resin aromas. Equal parts bitter and sweet. Very oily, syrupy body, some acidic effervescence. Very long finish. Alcohol is present but far from overwhelming. Excellent.
