Amazing. Resinous hoppy flavor. Murky orange pour. Vanilla, citrus and toffee followed by more citrus. Don’t pass this one up.

Thick hazy deep glden orange with a thick dense sandy head. Light caramely malt aroma but tons of sweet melon and tropical fruit hoppiness. Thick slippery palate and plenty bitter but the sweet smooth boozy goodness is the swinging pig here. Very big, too bad no one to share it with tonight...too bad.

Bottle: This was a gfift brought back from Munster by a friend. What a treat! Cloudy murky color with a thick full body. It boasts lots of citrusy sweet notes in the flavor with a wet hop aroma. Hard to detect the alcohol in the flavor, but boy do you feel it about halfway through. Tasty!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a sunny yellow color, clear, with a froth, very stable, big head.
The nose packs more lemon than I have ever experienced so far in a beer, perfectly fitting accompanied by flowery notes and crisp, ripe orange. Amazingly clean hop profile, with a balancing, bready malt foundation, completed by a toffeeish hint. The aromas are steamlined on the insane lemon defined hoppiness, very focused and prominent on the nose, balanced by just the right amount of malts.
Has an outstandingly soft mouthfeel, which changes drastically as the hops explode on the palate, resulting in a short burn, which is in no way alcoholic at all, as it gets immediately coated up by sweeter malts, forcing the focus on the hops.
Tastes of dough, bready malts, accompanied by an uncompromising, big punch of citrussy hops. Citrus stays on the palate till the very end, while a grassy dankness joins in, as well as lemon zest, giving the initial flavor even more punch. Finishes with a flavour explosion on the palate, resulting from amped up hops colliding with equally amped up malts, numbing my palate for a short moment, possibly revealing spice but I am just guessing at this point. Till the finish, the beer reestablishes its initial smooth mouthfeel, joined by sweeter toffee malts and dry, bitter, long staying citrus hops.
Interesting, unique taste development, with a flavor profile which grows incredibly huge and intense on the palate, showcasing bitter citrus and clean toffee malts in a fantastic fashion. The flavors blend beautifully together in an almost extreme fashion, revealing the beers immense body in an exhilarating, challenging and explosive way.

22oz bottle. Pours orange with a foamy white head. Aroma is of hops, pine, tropical fruit, and grass. Smells good. Taste is of alcohol, grass, juicy hops, and pine. Lingering piney alcohol taste. The finish is dry, almost chalky. Mouthfeel is sticky and medium. I can’t get past the boozy, sugary taste. It smelled good, but it wasn’t enjoyable to drink.

Bottle shared at Butlers with Chris and Craig. Thanks so much, Craig. Pours dark orange/amber with slight off white head. Aroma is pine and grapefruit. Grassy. Earthy. Flavor follows. Nice malt backbone. Really nice beer.

3.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber purchased from brewpub 6/25, no bottled-on date. Pours deep gold with nice head. Strong tropical fruit aroma, orange pith and mango, booze, astringent floral notes. Flavor is bitter, sticky pine, grapefruit, plus some more bitter. Oily mouthfeel makes it a slow drinker. Aroma much more tantalizing than flavor. Fairly solid DIPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle (22 oz). Shared by JulienHuxley, thanks! Split with the Québec crew.
Appearance: Hazy golden with a small white head and little lacing.
Aroma: Quite hoppy and boozy with resin, citrus, dank notes and toasted malts.
Taste: Medium sweetness with resin, caramel, fruity (citrus, mangoes, melon), boozy presence and moderate to medium bitterness.
Palate: Medium to full body. Medium carbonation. Oily. Sweet and warming finish. Resinous.
Overall: It’s not bad and not too barley wine-ish for a more than 10% abv Imperial IPA but it’s still way too sweet, boozy and cloying for my liking. Tasty and well-executed for what it is but I would rather stick with the lower abv hoppy stuff from FFF which is usually clean and amazingly drinkable (unlike this one).
