Had on tap at 3 Floyds. Nice balance of hops, citrus, and slight pine. Body is full but really really smooth. No question one of the best double IPAs that I’ve had.

Big tropical fruit, apple, and cat litter aromas. Sweet and sticky mouthfeel. Nice citrus flavor up front, followed smoothly by a green hop bite. Awesome stuff.

This truly is my style of beer. The beer pours a wonderful golden yellow color. Crisp fruity, hoppy balance. Great tasting and oh so enjoyable. I had this beer in Ohio on draft but shhhh can’t say where. Not allowed.

(On tap @ Mikkeller Bar Stockholm, Dec 28 2014) Pours a hazy pale yellow-gold with a big white head that left tons of lace. Aroma driven by sweet candied orange and overripe tropical fruit mix, lightly resinous with a slightly spicy undertone like hops/rye? The flavour was again heavily fruit forward, with a predominant flavour of Fuzzy Peach candy all the way through. Some citrus tones in there as well. Quite sweet, a bit too much so when warm - caramel malts with a little spiciness that again recalls rye. Bitterness on the finish is present but fairly light for style. Moderately full palate with average carb. Nice fruity DIPA but I found it a little sweet and cloying in direct comparison to Dreadnaught after a few sips, and I kept on thinking about that candy. Still a really good beer!

22oz bottle pours a yellow amber color with out much head. Full hop profile finishing with a little lime. Incredibly easy to drink, the high alcohol level is well hidden.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

Super smooth for the abv. Hoppy of course but well balanced with citrus and malty sweetness. Very nice.

Hazy yellow-orange, thin head. Smell is tropical, warm, strong tangerine peel character. Lemon, grassy, crisp hops character, perfectly balanced malt backbone. Slightly sweet, clean full body. I always have high expectations for 3F but this is even better than I imagined -- definitely earns a spot in my top 5 IPA’s.
