37steel (186), St. Charles, Illinois, USA Aug 28, 2008 On draft at the brewpub. Medium golden with hints of amber and a big white head. Strong citrus hop aroma. Citrus and resin hop flavors with a hint of malt in the background. To me this is an APA, but a great beer whatever they want to call it. travita (716), Lewisville, Texas, USA Aug 26, 2008 Amber colored beer with a nice white head. Smell is malts and hops. Good balance there with some citrus hop aroma coming through. Taste is again a good balance between malts and hops. Light and easy. PolakPorter (60), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 26, 2008 This is where it all starts. Pride & Joy - Alpha King - Dreadnaught - Behemoth. If you’re looking for an unforgettable light, hoppy ber, look no further. Distinct 3F citrusi hop aroma. Good follow through, enticing flavor, perfect balance...great beer. Perfect for a keg on a hot summer day. blutt59 (657), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2008 bottle, yellow golden color, nose is citrusy, flavor is a nice malty hop with a lemony overtone, good balanced finish thickfreakness (55), Austin, Texas, USA Aug 18, 2008 Great glowing orange with a fluffy white head that took a while to fade and left a little bit of nice lacing on the glass. Bright citrusy and floral hops. Slight bit of fresh cut grass and some of the light, caramel malt back bone are also present in the nose. Similar to the smell with a really well balanced amount of floral/citrus/pine hops and very little of that sweet caramel malt backbone. Really well balanced APA, but not overpowering in any aspect. A pretty decent mouthfeel with a nice bit of prickly carbonation along the tongue. A really great APA that I could easily session. I think this is on par with 3F other APA offering, Alpha King. Its just a really relaxing easily enjoyable beer.
