Mr_Stitch (119), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 27, 2008 On tap at DLD 08. Pours a nice amber with a tight white head. Aroma is light citrus mixed with some malt. Taste is very malty up front then to a lightly tart hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is slightly watery. The only problem I have with this beer is that it’s a little strong on the malt side for an amber... could be a little more even.
1_2many (142), Ohio, USA Jul 22, 2008 On tap at brewpub. I have to say this was much better than I thought it would be. I was expecting a light Alpha King but it really has its own unique style to it. Amber with the typical white head of FFF’s. Nice citrus hops aroma, sweet then mostly bitter. This would be a good starter for anyone getting into real beer. guyinchicago (196), marengo, Illinois, USA Jul 20, 2008 a beautful session beer from 3 FFF’s i could drink this a night long and i have a great summer beer pours a cloudy shade of amber with a small off white head aromas of hops and citrus. taste of the hops give it a slight citrus flavor i love this style of hops. think the rating is low as well as the style percentage this one of the best ambers i have had up to this point GAManiac (217), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours a bright, slightly hazy golden orange with a very small bubbly head that subsides quickly to a ring leaving a bit of lacing. The smell is a nice balace of hops, citrus and floral, and a bready malt backbone. The taste is initially a blast of light citrus, mainly lemon zest and oranges. This gives way to some caramel and sweet bready malts before a slight hop bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is super refreshing with a very crisp, clean finish. This is a supremely drinkable and well-balanced pale ale and would make a good summer staple. bretupdegraff (12), , Indiana, USA Jul 19, 2008 poured a hazy orange with a decent head. citrusy taste with a slight bitter aftertaste. I enjoyed this beer and would drink it again. dougblur (11), , Indiana, USA Jul 17, 2008 Mild hops. Smooth. Almost a mini IPA.
