COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Three Floyds interpretation of an American mild. A smooth medium bodied session beer with a bright citrus hop aroma and finish.

Sweet bonus courtesy of shrubber85. Bottle pours clear copper with off white head and some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up spicy hops mixing with a bit of grapefruit like citrus as well as a touch of sweet malty like toffee. The taste is nice and hop forward in classic 3F style with yummy spicy hops mixing with modest levels of roast and sweet malts creating a sort of faint toffee sense. It gets a bit bitter with resiny hops midway that take on a sort of pine hop feel. I sure like hoppy ambers or milds or whatever this is. It is yum anyway you cut it.

UPDATED: FEB 2, 2012 Poured from a growler that was 2 days old, but unopened.Poured a hazy gold with a touch of orange. Two finger white head that dissipated very quickly leaving almost no lacing (probably because I wasn?t able to drink it fresh).Aroma was mild, mainly pine with just a hint of a fruit that I can?t quite place.Light, thin mouthfeel. Taste starts very mild but then comes through with a quick hop punch that doesn?t linger very long. There?s a weird funkiness in it, too, that I can?t say I?m a big fan of.Overall, seemed like a decent, mild ale. I was a little disappointed as this was my first Three Floyds and their reputation is so high but I think a lot of that was not getting to drink it fresh. I will definitely give this one another shot should the opportunity arise.

Pours nice and copper. Minimal head. A mild at 5% :) Good body, well balanced with heavy juice hop in the finish. Very accessible, not overpowering. A good "every day" beer. ---some day, I hope to have tried them all.

pours bright amber with a foamy white head and lots of lacing. citrus and pine aroma. taste is hoppy for the style. There’s plenty of refreshing fruit qualities as well. this is a well balanced and strong tasting beer for a "session" mild ale. finish is hoppy with some spice notes.

Bottle: Gold-amber color with a small white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma with some spices.Good crisp feel with a well-balanced taste. It has a hop backbone but doesn’t cross the line into an IPA. Well done.

this was nice and light with effiecent hops that are evident enough to give this some complexity. i wish that this was my everyday session beer...

Sampled at Neil’s Rare Beer Stash tasting. Other milds i’ve had have been like brown ales, so this one being such a hazy pale golden hue threw me off a bit. It was lightly bitter, and better than hop tea, but similar character. I’m thinking the bottle might have had a little age on it.
