3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ Brad’s house, picked up at Casanova’s Hudson WI. Pours a clear golden orange appearance with an off white head. Grapefruit citrus hoppy, slightly sweet, light chocolate, caramel, juicy aroma. Somewhat bitter, big grapefruit juicy, mango, pineapple, toasted, chewy cookie flavor. Kind of an interesting hoppy take on a mild ale.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Great aromatic hop smell. A hazy growing copper coloring with light but lasting head. A soft fruity hop taste that grows with intensity as you pour it in but fades smooth and fast leaving a refreshing hop flavor behind.

Nice fruity aromas.. Apples. Great lacing left by a golden pour. Flavors are a bit spicy and hoppy. I like this.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at the Jeffrey. Not that mild but if you forget style pretty good. Pours murky orange with nose of hops and caramel. Tastes of light caramel, cherries, oranges, library books, and orange soda. Pretty bitter and spritzer like.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
First let’s be clear: this is not an English-style mild. American Pale Ale is probably a better style for this. Bottle from 6-pack from brewery. Pours orange. Aroma of fruity American hops and light bready malt. Taste is, in fact, mild, with light carmalts and citrus fruits, and a light bitter finish. Smooth body. Enjoyable and very sessionable.

Let’s not call it a mild, and it’s probably a better beer. If you like UK milds, it doesn’t fit--more an amber (including in the appearance) and the abv, at almost 5%, is still higher than the roasted, malty 3%abv milds of the UK. As an amber, this is o.k., with obviously floral effects from the hop and a little murky grassiness. Not as bright as I would have liked. (on tap, The Stone Tap, Hudson, WI)

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draft @ the 3 FFFs on 30 November, 2013. Color is kind of orange copper tone. Fruity nose of grapes and a mix of citrus that I can’t define as grapefruit or some type of melon. The palate is indeed clean, but it’s mostly sweetness with a high level of carbonation. Some citrus hops. Easy to drink.

Dark orange. Nose is cherries and cranberries. Mildly hopped. Has a very simple profile. Good fishing beer but overall, very weak
