Gold color with a modest ivory head. Some lacing. Aroma was very appealing, pine & grapefruit with a splash of honey. Taste was malt first, biscuit/cracker type flavor. This was quickly balanced by the hops. All lingered nicely into the aftertaste. This was a very well balanced beer. Some grainy/husky flavor became more apparent as beer warmed.

This beer has a lot of flavor for a mild. Very smooth taste with just a hint of bitter hop at the finish. This is like Alpha King’s little brother. If you are looking for a good, session beer, this is for you. Hop aroma is citrus. Not a lot of malt, but just enough.

Bottle at home, shared with Mathieu87. APPEARANCE: clear blond beer, small unstable white head. NOSE: hoppy, fruity, citra, nice. TASTE: hoppy, fruity, citra, bitter.

I guess I expected more from 3 Floyds. Although it does state mild ale, I was thinking more of a pale ale with a stronger hop presence. Flavors of grapefruit/citrus are present along with mild hops. Overall fairly light and not as hoppy as I prefer. Decent session beer.

Orangey color with a one finger off white head. Aroma is pine, citrus, hops and slight caramel. Taste is a nice citrus and pine but not as strong a pale ale. Good refreshing beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Mikkeller online shop; hazy light copper pour with a big frothy off white head, fruit and biscuit aroma, taste has grass, some dark fruits, a hint of grapefruit, grassy with some citrus, strange it says mild ale on the label.

5 oz. pour, on tap at Stone Tap in Hudson, WI. Consumed on 6-25-14. Pours a clear brass/bronze with a moderate amount of cream-colored head. Produces long-lasting, thick lacing. Refreshing, piney, citric smell features grapefruit, lemon, green apple, green grape, and cracker scents. Smells good. Flavors of cracker, lemon, grapefruit, and pine. Interestingly, the flavor matches the aroma but in reverse order of emphasis. Salty, briney flavor. Light body. Easy to drink. Lively and soft in the palate. Refreshing. Overall, a solid beer and above average for the style. Seems to me more like an American Pale Ale than an Amber Ale (as it is classified at RateBeer) or a Mild (as it is billed by the brewery).

Clear amber-copper color, moderate white head. Aroma is bread, hay, and a bit of must. Light sweetness and some pine bitterness in the finish. Light bodied, lively carb, and a short finish.

Sweet, malty, smooth. Amber pour. Nose was toffee and crisp hops. Taste added honey. Nothing spectacular but super sessionable.

On-tap at Bernie’s Tap Room in Waukesha , WI. Pours a copper color with a foamy, beige head. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty. The taste is smooth and easy drinking. Finishes slightly bitter and is not as big and bold as other Three Floyds offerings.

Bottle. Almost clear amber liquid with medium white head. Aroma of toffee, citrus, bread, earth and tangerine. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of toffee, earth and citrus. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation. Nice.
