2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
I was sort of confused as to why 3 Floyds would make a style that calls for very little hops. They seem to revel in the plant. Pours a nice rich brown, with a pleasing khaki head. Aroma is way too hoppy. You can smell the hops, for starters. Malts smell right, but are overwhelmed by the floral hoppiness. Flavor is also off. Way, way too much hops. Mild roastiness and some bittersweet bready flavors. It irritates me that these guys just overhop everything, like it's a source of pride. Carbonation is way too high, hops are mellow for 3 Floyds, but still way too high for this style. They should have called it an american brown ale, because that's what it is.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Look - Dark orange. Weak pour lead to thin, off white head. Lacing. See through as it warms.
Smell - Light, hoppy dank smell. Earthy. Light citrus.
Taste - Very good for a lighter beer. Dank grapefruit. Bread. Earth. Bitter on finish.
Feel - No carb bomb. Doesn’t stick to tongue. Smooth.
Overall - I hear they stopped bottling this for Yum Yum? Bring it back! Very good for abv.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted from draft. Pours a clear Amber with off white head. Big time hop aroma that is citrus fruit and pine. Taste is surprisingly not that bitter as expected from the aroma. Mild to moderate bitterness with moderate sweetness. Some toffee and bready flavors with a citrusy and pine hop flavors to balance. Very sessionable. As usual a great beer by Three Floyds.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Pours a hazy burnt orange amber with a small off white head that dissipates swiftly. Very hoppy and citrusy aroma and flavor. Great mouthfeel with mild carbonation. Great beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a murky amber with a think egg shell color head. There’s a citrus, caramel, bread, and malts. The taste was sweet upfront that faded into a dry bitter after taste. Flavors of tart tangerine, caramel, grapefruit, bread, and pine. Medium body that was sticky or almost chewy on the palate. Overall, very enjoyable and a good session brew.
