2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 joeneugs (1422) - Livermore, California, USA - DEC 29, 2011
Bottle from bauermj. Thanks man! It pours a hazy light orange color with a quickly dissipating white head. The aroma is underwhelming with only hints of wheat, pineapple and orange peel. The flavor is better with more of the peppery yeast that you’d expect, but with an odd doughy sweetness to the malt that just doesn’t work for me. Saison should not be doughy or sweet. It also brings out a very alcoholic finish. Some light tropical fruit flavors saves it from utter disaster. I love Three Floyds, but this was my least favorite by them. It’s not even close.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 pushkinwow (727) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 12, 2011
Bomber. Hazy light orange with a quickly diminishing creamy white head. This seems like a blend between a light saison and a witbier. Get a bit of pepper, some coriander, orange peel, wheat, alcohol, bit of belgian yeast and farmhouse. Smooth, some alcohol, bit of nail polish, above average carbonation, dry with some spice and farmhouse at the end. Ok - but have much better saisons, and better beers from FFF.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mcberko (2184) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 26, 2011
22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of oranges, citrus fruits, coriander and light yeast - though much less yeasty and funky for a saison. Flavour is quite spice-heavy, with coriander upfront, followed by orange peel, dry citrus and a slightly funky, dry orange peel, spicy finish. Solid saison but nothing special.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 lassem (631) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 15, 2011
A Lablework that is out of this world - a furious rabbit stranguling a Christmas gnom. A hazy orange pour with a inch high White head that slowly fades. A nose that is dominated by yeasty notes with hints of melon and pepper. The taste is pretty close to a belgian trippel somehow. A mouthfeel that are a bit creamy and lively. Slightly bitter finish.
