3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Reynolds314 (1480) - Connecticut, USA - JUN 2, 2012
Pretty good saison. Reminds me a bit of a belgian wit with that strong coriander and banana/orange taste. A bit sweet and spicy. Above average saison

First bottle in the evening with three floyds. Malty rich saison. Rich finish. Tasty stuff
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jbeatty (501) - New York, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Bottle, 05/31/2012. Pours hazy burnt orange, fine bubbled head, thin bodied lacing. Aroma of sweet bread malts, banana clove, saison yeast, floral herbals, pepper spice on the end. Taste has big pepper character in the front, softens to floral, citrusy notes, light bitter graininess in the finish. Light body. An alright saison, but perhaps overdone with the peppercorn that threatens to drown out other flavors.

I’m glad that I finally sat down with a bottle of this, as it ending up being a rather tasty and easy sipping take on a Saison with a nice balance of malt, fruit, spice, and hops that kept this interesting to drink.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 wchesser (664) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 29, 2012
Bottle shared by a friend-at least a year old though. Totally unique. Cloudy orange brown with persistent head. Nose is like a shandy...7up and lager initially but opens up to cardamom and some cinnamon. Taste even early on is strong Vietnamese cinnamon then some cardamom and cola with citrus. Really interesting. Full mouthfeel and complex lingering finish. Pleasant surprise.

Been years since I had this...but my memory serves me as this being extremely saison like, but going over the top a bit on the bubble gum sweet flavors mixed into the brew. Nice spice hints as well, would love to try this again.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of drfabulous (I believe). JetsonFest II. Cloudy, bright, yellow-orange appearance with a white head. Really a nice, spicy, a bit peppery, coriander, orange citrusy, a bit herbal, light barnyard aroma. Quite white peppery, very spicy, coriander, sweet, citrusy flavor. Quite nice.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 burg326 (2325) - Florida, USA - MAY 22, 2012
22 ounce bomber poured a light cloudy orange color with aromas of corriander, orange peel, some hay, and some black pepper. Flavors are the same with a slight spiciness from the pepper at the end where it made you want to drink more. Nice saison overall.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Morey (46) - Erie, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 20, 2012
APPEARANCE: Cloudy orange color with some hazy yellow around the edges of the glass. A good two fingers of fluffy white foam following a medium pour. Head was slow to disappear, and left plenty of nice lacing on the glass til the last drop.
AROMA: Chamomile, Coriander, Wet Lawn, & Peppercorns. I also started to get some lemon & orange as the beer warmed up a bit.
TASTE: I’m getting wheat and light malts up front. Peppery notes, chamomile, and other spices (perhaps from the rock candy) aren’t far behind. There’s a very subtle sweetness near the back-end. I let the beer warm for about 10 minutes or so, and it really started to bring out some citrus flavors (mainly lemon and orange). The finish featured some coriander and yeasty flavors. Pretty refreshing.
MOUTHFEEL: Light to medium body with a fairly light carbonation for the style.
MOREY’S BOTTOM LINE: An above average Saison. That being said, I guess that I expected a bit more from FFF. It’s more of a peppery and spicy Saison, as opposed to the tart and funky ones that I’ve been drinking as of late. Well crafted, but it’s just a little tamer than I was anticipating. It’s worth a shot…but personally, I wouldn’t seek this one out.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JStax (1667) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - MAY 19, 2012
Poured from a refrigerated bottle into a tulip glass. Appearance is a cloudy, somewhat hazy copper to gold with a generous white head of foam. Lacing couldn’t be much better. Aroma is somewhat spicy, like a fresh ground peppercorn and a fruity presence like in a citrus fruit. Grapefruit juice nuances come to mind in drinkability. Taste is peppery and citrus juice. Lovely beer all around. I’m kind of surprised at the rating here. I would imagine this beer to much much more highly acclaimed than it currently is.
