COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Smooth and elegant, light body, creamy mouthfeel, light spicing from coriander and orange peel give a wonderfully malty/spicy sweet ale. Big alcohol lurking underneath a light and frothy exterior

Bottle from BBB63. Medium amber in color with no head, probably due to hand bottling. Pleasing floral aroma, spices, some chamomile in the nose. Medium to light bodied. Spices throughout with a baseline chamomile tea flavor. Nicely done. No Hops???

Bottle: Courtesy of BBB63 at Kuhnhenn’s. Aroma is sweet, flowery, light spice, and citrus. Pours a hazy orangish-amber with a white ring for a head. Flowery and citrusy up front with a nice spice finish. Definitely some clove and other spices, but I’m far from an expert on spices so I really can’t tell you what the others are.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2005 Fresh at the brewery: This is an interesting drink. Murky orange with a healthy, frothy head, it contains quite a blend in its aroma. Ginger comes first, and the rest appear at random - chamomile, orange zest, white pepper, lavender, anise root, corriander, clove, and a number of unidentifiables. It’s got a rich malt backbobne, but all of the spicy flavors steal the scene. The finish is a confused tastiness, the alcohol never making a peep until it hits the spot. Quite interesting.

On tap at the brewery. Gorgeous, deep, cloudy orangish-brown in appearance. Aroma is fresh linen, white pepper, freshly baked crescent rolls, clover, coriander and wet dog. Hits the palate as creamy, and then lays a blanket of thin wax, claiming my mouth as its territory. Rose petals, lavender and rosemary manifest to join the suspected flavors hinted at in the aroma. Cornhusks and lemon zest come in through the backdoor to affirm why this is called a farmhouse ale. Light, crisp and sweet. Less yeast bite than other saisons I’ve had. Finish is pepper and honeyed bread.

New batch and less spicy so I was told, gosh it must have been the top before this. Pours a hazy copper hue with a small but lasting head and good lace. The aroma is spicy with lots of corriander, clove, saffron, rose hips, orange zest and thistle with additional esters of floral hops, bready malts and dusty yeast. The hops seem more tradional than most Floyds beers, sublime bitters and sour citrus highlight the flowery and spice overtones of this creation. Wonderfully unique and different even if it still has a Floyds twist and completely true to style, so what, it rocks! The palate is quite smooth and refreshing with a dry woody finish. This is so different than I expected and quite honestly I like it becuase of that fact. Tummy says yummy!

UPDATED: MAY 24, 2006 Never had a beer like this before. Pours cloudy gold with a large head. Some fruity notes but a large maltiness. Flavor is mostly dominated by malt on the palate but a noteworth coconut flavor on the aftertaste. Pretty good and interesting brew.

On tap at the brewery. Nice medium amber color. A spicy beer with a nutmeg/clove character. Interesting.

2004 GTM. Hemp aroma. Saffron notes. Floral hops. Cloudy dark gold. Small white head. Citrus notes. Not the best offering from 3 Floyds, but unique.

Aroma of sweet oranges, malts, corriander and some floral notes. Malts corriander with light hops in the finish. Very soft on the palate. I expected alot more out of this.

UPDATED: AUG 11, 2004 Draft at MacGregor’s in Rochester. Pour was a red with a soapy white head. The aroma was citrus, pine, coriander, and a bunch of other spices. The flavor matched the aroma with a touch of sweet. Couldn’t drink more than maybe a pint at a time, but it was nice.
