Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 6, 2006 An unclear orange beer with a dying orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of oranges and a light touch of hops. The flavor is sweet hoppy combined with notes of oranges and cloves, as well as light notes of grapefruit. omhper (10393), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 20, 2006 [Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm] Clear pale amber, near no head. Aroma of cinnamon and coriander with a touch of orange. Sweet with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Evident almondy yeast character. Some fruit and marmelade shows when it warms. Notes of toffee and molasses before a salty finish. An Americacn style straight forward beer, focusing more on surface (aroma and flavour) than depth (mouthfeel and malt characterics) as opposed to the Belgian renditions. Papsoe (9980), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 2, 2007 (Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of boboski. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Very perfumy nose with notes of lavender and cinnamon. Medium body with a very subdued malt base but dominated by floral and spicy accents - cinnamon again. No real traces of hops to be found. 301107 Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2004 Cloudy dull bronze colour. Very assertive aroma - coriander, ginger, probably curacao...if the brewer’s description is to be believed there’s no ginger. That is all coriander? Wow. Huge coriander flavour, maybe some cumin. Phenols (lemon balm) here and there, but lacking malt or hops. Way too much coriander - Joris would fly from Belgium just to dump this down the drain. joergen (6240), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 3, 2007 Bottle.
